  • Adel's celebration

Running to Hughes and the coaching staff. Think he has bought into their tactics and organisation. Warnock let Adel do what he wanted which worked in the championship. Hughes realises he needs to do a defensive job too and so far he's putting a shift in.

I also thought he may have run over there to celebrate infront of Redknapp. Good on him if that was one of the reasons.

Warnock often said no other manager could put up with Adel, Hughes is proving that's a load of rubbish.

He's getting the best out of him and to be honest the more I see of Hughes the more impressed I am with him.

Have to say i was well impressed with AT yesterday, obviously his goal was great' and he made a few attacking runs, which are his trademark,....but it was his defensive work tracking back etc brilliant to see, i know he got booked for bringing walker down but he was really good allround yesterday.

Redknapp "the goal wasn't that great"
Shut up mate, you let him go and he comes back to score and beat you.

It's not just the tracking back and being more defensiely minded, it's clear he's had it drummed it into him that losing possession cheaply is a cardinal sin at this level.

Commented yesterday to my mate the number of times Adel had possession and played a simple pass or a square pass rather than simply run forward with the ball into a melee of defenders. A decent Prem defender knew he would come at them rather than cohoose one from a variety of options with the ball and made life easier for them.

The old Adel was too single minded, selfish and self-indulgent as far as teamwork went. Instead he now chooses as and when to make a run or play an ambitious pass. Makes a hell of a difference.

Think the celebration was as much to do with Harry just to rub it in a bit.

v impressive his defensive display yesterday. OK so he got booked for one tackle but last season he wdn't have been within a hundred yards of our penalty area when we were being attacked.
