He was our worst player between October-February, but has improved a lot since. Has had 4-5 good games now - yesterday perhaps his best. Think he is good, when we play top 6 teams, disturbing their defense, winning balls, not giving them time to build up organizationally. Want nowadays him to start. But still think he's not good option when we should keep the ball and have possession.

Spot on I'm afraid to say.

This is the one major weakness to his game, and is the reason why he rarely wins MOM. However great the other aspects of his game were yesterday this was still the area that let him down. If he can improve on that then we could have a truly great player on our hands.

How any one can say mackie was our worst player at any time of the season is beyond me but that's down to opinions!
Like a few on here have always backe mackie! Think he is exactly the type of player every club wants!
What people never got is that he doesn't stop working and chasin down balls running at defenders ect and I you never played football ou won't understand that playing against a player like that is a nightmare! He makes you make mistakes and ou can't have a minutes rest!
Mackie hill and derry represent everything qpr should stand for and I hope whatever league we are in next year all three are still woth us!

He's certainly having a purple patch, although I thought he was very good 1st half yesterday but less so in the 2nd half.

To be fair, I doubted him being a threat in the Prem, he's proving me wrong and I'm glad he is. At 1 point I feared he'd end up at Leeds next season along with Paddy.
I'm still not 100% convinced, but his enthusiasm and effort has always been a pleasure to watch. So well done Jamie, long may you continue to prove me wrong.

You and me both mate. No way did I expect him to be able to cut it in the prem at all, fair play to the lad. Most commited pro I think I can remember!

I agree he has improved loads recently. Not great defensively but he does love getting forward. Loved that bit yesterday where he hassled one of the Spurs players (may have been Modric) along the touchline all the way back to his own area. Must have got him going backwards for about half the length of the pitch. Brilliant effort always.

Wonder how many have changed their minds about having him their starting 11
Important to us. Never stops running. Well done Jamie.

He has had some good games and you can't knock his effort...he has also got a couple of goals recently. But he has a lack of quality in aspects of his game that mean - for me, if we stay up, he has to be replaced by better options and take his place in the background.

Done well recently though - and I am really happy about that.

I've been one of his biggest critics, but fair play to the scotch geezer, he's done well lately.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
