Believe me or not, it doesn't really matter as i have no reason to lie but i spoke to one of his mates tonight who again would have no reason to lie.
Anyway apparently Wolves, Newcastle and West Brom all came in for Matt in the summer with Wolves putting in a £5m bid for him which was rejected by the club and Matt. Matt is supposed to be very happy at QPR and even though he's an arsenal fan is still 100% sure he made the right move. He has no intention of leaving.
Under Sousa he was meant to be being trained up to move into central midfield and was doing separate training sessions with a midfield coach. This seems to have stopped under JM though. He's said he's naturally a centre back but obviously keeps being played out of position but by the sound of it it's not an issue for him.
I know it's not groundbreaking news or anything but i thought the main point is that we are obviously ambitious enough to be able to reject bids like that of Wolves and a young player like Matt is confident enough with whats going on that he wants to stay. Looks promising for our future if you ask me...
Makes a change someone hearing a rumour with a positive slant.
