24 hours ago i was convinced Wigan and ourselves would beat the drop. A Wigan win changes nothing!! All this talk of 3 wins blah blah blah! 6 points will be enough and 4 could very well be.
If we get 4 points, Blackburn will have to get 7 points out of Norwich & Wigan (h) and Spurs & Chelsea (a), not happening.
Suddenly Bolton have turned into Barca (judging comments on here). They're poor, very poor. Throw into the mix 6 games in 22 days at the end of a mentally draining season and it's extremely tough.
They have home games against a Swansea side who'll want to win every game from now until the end of the season to finish as high as possible. A big pitch at the Reebok will suit the Swans. Spurs again should dominate on the big pitch at the Reebok and challenging for 4th place. WBA are the last team to travel to the Reebok and this is a game i feel Bolton will win, it depends if WBA are on the beach or not.
Bolton travel to Villa, simply a massive game. If Villa lose they're bang in trouble although we will all be Villa fans for that game. A visit to Sunderland is next up. Sunderland have started to have a drop in performances, i expect O'Neill to put this right and will be desperate to finish as high as possible, with Europe still a possibility. Bolton finish off their season with a trip to Stoke. Not the biggest game in the world but Stoke hate losing at home and the Stoke fans will take deep pleasure in sending Bolton down, no doubt about that.
It's hard to predict the outcome of games and strange results get thrown up all over the place. I do believe though that Bolton won't pick up more than 3 points at home (WBA) and a max of 3 away (Villa). That gives them 35 points and a worse goal difference.
4 points will be enough in my opinion, i'd rather 6 to be safe though
