  • The dreaded drop...

if/when it happens what players do you think will stay with us??
we can expect some players imo to leave to trim the wage bill and there are a cple of loans that we possibley would have signed if we stay up.some tough decisions to be made.
players like zamora, cisse need to stay.
barton can fc uk off-if any mug takes up the offer.
    as can swp-------.
the players who got us up will all be more than welcome.

Cisse has already said he will stay, who will pay £4 million for Zamora, but the loans will go back.Betty will probably stay as he is a decent championship striker.Mackie will also .I expect Barton to stay also.

expect west ham and reading to raid us if we go down and they go up.

        likely mackie, zamora.

kenny, derry and hill i expect to go to leeds.

barton swp and cisse wont go anywhere.

bothroyd may go. only a year left as is taarabt.

dj could end up at blackpool.

        add the loans going back.

Taiwo and Samba would go straight away.

Bobbie wouldnt play for a Championship side, I doubt Onuoha would either.

Tarbs wouldn't do another season in the Championship and I imagine he would go abroad.

I think Anton, Traore, Cisse, SWP , Bothroyd, DJ and Young would all stay. Depends whose in charge as to what happens to the rest of the squad. No idea what Barton would do.

I honestly think our best bet would be to reduce the squad size down massively, get rid of all the dead wood and wage thiefs and try to bring in some young, hungry English players.

I honestly dread another season in the Championship. We would be a big scalp in that division and would have to contend with Leeds under Warnock, Charlton, perhaps both the Sheffield clubs, whoever comes down with us and the usual suspects like Cardiff, Hull, M'borough, Brighton, Burnely, Blackpool, big spending Leicester.

A lot of big teams in there.

Yeah the two loan players wouldn't be signed, i would try to keep them all, even SWP. And make it clear you got us in this mess, now get us out. Don't know how they would handle the pressure of being favorites to win the league though as that squad surly would.

Would be a disgrace if the players who got us relegated just f**ked off without trying to get us back up.

But most of them are in it for themselves and yet again it will be the fans having to pick up the pieces.

Exactly as I see. Have to admit I really could not see Joey staying; he would be first to jump ship IMO. Although not sure how many PL sides would fancy taking him on.

I think a big clear out is needed. Most of our so called premier league signings have been disappointing. I would keep the likes of Clint, Heidar and Jamie, who will fight for the cause and add young hungry players who will improve with us, rather than living off past reputations. Oh and a new keeper but, please God not Hennessy.
