First game of season next year ?

Does anyone know the likely date of the first game of next season be it Prem or Championship?

It was early this year for some reason.

The missus is pushing to book the summer hols and I want to try and avoid missing the first game.

Tricky cos it has to be in kids hols.

The 2012 2013 premier league season was due to commence on the 11th august but will be put back as closing day of olympics is 12th.

As your looking to go away during the school holidays, and as it has been pointed out the season gets under way during that time.The best you could do is wait for the fixtures to be announced, that is likely to be around mid June.

Championship season starts 18th August. Prem ussually starts a week later, but it might be that they all start the same week as it is a late start.
Police have asked for no games (incl. pre-season friendlies) to be played in London until the Olympics and paralympics are over (mid Sept?) so we might not get a home game until then.
