The reaction on here will all be about Diouf and what a terrible character he is etc. And I don't dispute that. But I'm more interested in what Anton Ferdinand was doing in a nightclub in Manchester "in the early hours", apparently getting involved in a fight involving a glass attack, and then being interviewed under caution. The bloke is paid a fortune to keep fit and stay focused on our relegation battle. Anything cd have happened. I hope the club look into this very closely and if he is found to have done anything wrong, fined very heavily.

Night off, sure. Couple of pints and dinner in a restaurant. But early hours in a nightclub ending up in a glass fight and being arrested? Why is this just considered a normal night out in football when in any other sport - hardly any of which pay anthing like the same kind of money - it wd be considered a complete scandal. Does Andy Murray go out and get bladdered and into fights after a tennis match (which incidentally he lost)? These guys are meant to be professional athletes.
