  • Final bottom five predictions update.

I'm afraid mine are as follows....

    Wigan.....39 pts
    Bolton.....36
    .....................
    QPR........35
    Blackburn.30
    Wolves....23

Wish I could be more optimistic, but I think we'd do well to beat Stoke (and Crouchy) and draw with Spurs.

I see us going down on 35 as well.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

No no no......Steve Kean said his team need 7pts to stay up, that's 35pts so we should stay up. You think wigan will pickup 8 points even though they have #### a ,Fulham a newcastle h, in their fixture list?

Steve Kean is absolutely not Nostradamus.

Yep,I do. I predicted they would beat Man U,and for once I agree with Fergie, that they are currently one of the best footballing sides in the Prem.I think they will beat Newcastle and Wolves at home and draw at Fulham and Blackburn away and lose (just) at the Emirates.

Id love to think we could get 6 or 7 more points but, if Im brutally honest, cant see more than 4 or 5. Guna be very very tight, all depends how well the other sides do. Glad we have a better GD (at the moment anyway!) as this could proove vital. I certainly think it'll be going down to the last day...... Good thing we have a nice easy game eh
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Just hope Utd have the title wrapped up by then. Still think we'll get another 6 points though.

Well fair enough it's all about opinions, but for Fergie to say they are the best footballing side in the prem for me is not right, Fergie or not. If that was the case how come they are where they are?, and what about Swansealona who are supposedly the best footballing side in the world?
I think/hope they get well done at ####,and as long as foolham aren't on the beach they lose there too, and Newcastle beat them at their place.

I think Wigan will win both there home games and lose the aways same as us. I have us finishing 5th from bottom on goal difference above Wigan.

Its got to be two wins out of four, target the home games, win those and we'll be ok, sounds easy doesn't it?

I echo your sentiments and wishes for our team to do well and survive.Fergie actually said Wigan were ONE of the best not THE best footballing sides in the division confirmed by their 6th place on form over the past 6 games with only 1 defeat in that time when at the turn of the year they were close to bottom.

2 key games for us are wigan's games against fulham and newcastle. If they get nothing from them, I could see them getting 3-4 points max (winning against wolves and point at blackburn). So we need 3-4 points too, which i think we can get.

They might get something at Arsenal tomorrow night. Newcastle can hopefully beat them. Fulham are a funny side.

Apologies geejaybee didn't read your quote properly, heres hoping to Fergie being wrong, and if he is right, being one of the best footballing sides doesn't mean they get the points they need
