Taarabt not good enough for PL

No mate i was at work, I'm not talking about his individual performance I'm talking about his overall contribution this season

No need to get shirty, point I'm making is you able to get a better opinion on players performances when at matches, you know it, I know!

Not getting shirty mate,,getting very bored of peolkle defending him even when he was crsp though
bored of people using the excuse of being at a match means you have a more valid argument or opinion

FACT IS..(undisputable) He just aint done it this year has he?...surely you cannot denythat basic principal. He's had time, lee-way and every other excuse you can find.
If he hadnt have been such a super star lastyear we'd all be slating him for his performances..
the guy has ability in bucket loads and the front to attempt some of what he does.....
what he doesnthave is the mental strentgh or drive to carry on when it goes wrong... everyone has played alongside a skillfull player so why dont they all make it.
adel, isthe closest in the Prem to dennis Bergkamp tthat i can think of, but, it takes more than just skill to be a great prem player.
Look at Rooney & scholes, they are as skillfull as f**k, but they also have the mental toughness to be able to stick to what they are told, play the game plan, persivere,, carry on doing what they do...thats the diffrence between a good player and a Prem player.
I hope that MH can get that into him to make him a good player..

As for selling him, personally based on this season, I'd say yes. 4 or 5 good games aint enough to cut it in this league. its all about consistancy..

noww, funnily enough; I've just watched the game on fox tonight and although he was not good, i cant see who else could have done anything diffrent. he was outplayed and out-marked by a solid prem defence, thats all. I "great" would have found the way through.
in his defence he did hit some nice balls through anjd i think had Cisse been on the pitch, the result may have been diffrent.
still seen nothing to make me change my mind (YET) that he aint a prem player...
just my opinion of course......

TBH..based on this whole season i dont really know. As i said before...he could be a solid prem player if he got his game head on and got some consistancy.
Problem is he hasn't all season and its to late now

He's had a bucket load of chances and he really did set himself up for it atthe start of the season with the PSG thing...niot sure why so many people defend a player who publicly said he wanted out?

I suppose in the same vein Bale/modric/defoe et al are not good enough for the PL as the webbed ones beat them at the lane ffs

Adels a loose cannon you never know whats going to turn up on the day which means neither do other players all you need is one spark of brilliance and bingo he is a moody f--r and we need to get behind him IMO

1. this thread is about Adel not being good enough for the Prem. That is a joke - he clearly is.
2. If you think he isn't good enough for the PL - then 90% of our squad are not good enough because almost none of them have performed. That includes Joey - who has been atrocious until he got booed off. Is he not good enough for the PL then? Based on your points he isn't. Get real.
3. He hasn't had a great year , but he has had the captaincy stripped from him for someone who has shown very little leadership on or off the pitch, been injured, been dropped etc. Last few games he has had some great performances.

Put our team in order of how well you think they have performed Yousef. If you have Adel at the bottom then you are watching a different team to me as I can see a whole bunch of failures this season.

Mate, let me say this..i aint a Joey fan but he was what we needed at the time.
Personally; at this current time, he isnt / hasnt been good enough for the prem
I dont disagre that a lot of our team aint good enough..i posted that 3 months ago on this very board
JB had the mental strength to turm his game around when booed off...what do you thin Tarbs would do if he received the same treatment?
he's been a lot better in the last few games...problem is, that aint enough in the prem. The championship is filled to the brim of players who can do it every now or a couple of times a season at top level!
I'm not saying he cant improve, i'm saying right here and now he hasnt been good enough for the prem
I got bored reading all the posts and arguing with people telling me how good he was going to be, once he got his 1st goal the floodgates blah blah blah....

FACTs and stats speak for themselves i think.
And TBH i was really ready to eat some humble pie at the end of the season!

i think he's prem quality but i just think he is nowhere near our best player. Most enjoyable to watch? yes .....most skilfull? yes.... most frustrating? yes undoubtedly . Id say Cisse/Zamora/Traore/Faurlin/Barton are all better players than him. Too many stepovers and holding on to the ball for far to long has ruined Taarabts impact on his first full season in the prem...1 goal and 2 assists isnt it? Buz probably has had as much impact. Big fish in a little pond last season and he was loving it but apart from a few nutmegs this season whats he done?

Many other players haven't performed. Adel has had a very good last few weeks, WBA aside, and I think it's ridiculous to say he should be sold. To be honest it doesn't really matter what we think. Hughes has said he is absolutely not for sale and that's good enough for me. Hughes is manager for a reason and I'm glad he acknowledges the talent and potential in Adel that most of us see.

MH is the man right now and I'll back what ever he decides...

My personall opinion (as is many others) is very diffrent about AT.

I would like to believe what MH has said about AT; but ; unfortunately, money talks..and if we go down i dnt see AT being here. Why would he do another year in the Championship
He wil get offers from the 3 promoted teams and other lower teams. We may even be able to sell SWP...if we're lucky.

No. Cisse is the most frustrating because he has the talent to keep us up and threw away half his games with pathetic behaviour. He could have been the difference.

I think its interesting the way no one can list any facts that prove Adel is / has been our best player, just nonsense based on their oppinion of him. Last season people were quite rightly posting stat after stat which justified their comments, this season ..................
