Oh right did you miss his daughters wedding that he spent 300million on?
I guess 300million is just about enough for a wedding I mean please.
He could offer 10m and not realise it but increase his stake by doing so with a chance of a possible promotion and then we buy Kamara for 4 and buy 2 decent full backs. Come on Sam smell the coffee mate
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

its his daughters wedding FFS. i'm sure if everyone would spend that sort of money on their FAMILY if they could.

why should he throw money away when he only has a small stake?

he also does alot for charity so i don't think you can call him "tight"

he is under no obligation to throw money away just because he is a billionnaire. he is a proffesional and he knows what he is doing. he puts in what he takes out. you can't blame him for that

If we were ever promoted, we would have to increase capacity or move, else tickets would have to be so expensive to counter the increased demand. Would cost a fortune to build a new stadium in West London and it'll be very hard to increase the size of Loftus Road so there's more than a few stumbling blocks to overcome.

What is happening with the BBC television site?
Great size and aren't they moving up north?

If it is a supply and demand thingy, why are the tickets so expensive at the moment when we have aaround 5,000 empty seats every game ?

the thing is who ever refers to our ground as Loftus Road anyway ? when asked where i'm going on a saturday afternoon i would always say "down the Rangers" or "down the Bush" - point being i never refer to our ground name - so if a big sponsorship deal meant a stadium name change it wouldn't bother me - cos i'd still go down the Rangers - if you know what i mean ?

Pete I am 99% sure that we are an original member of the prem and that means if we get promoted we would get 1 or 2 years grace on getting the stadium up to a 20000 seater.

couldn't give a dam what they call the ground as long as it brings in loads of dosh, i'd even go as far as calling it the WATRB Stadium if you had enough dosh

i've been going to LR for over 37 years & love the place, but we have got to move to a bigger stadium to move forward, if these guys are here "long term" then it's a must

no good adding another 5,000 to our shoebox of a stadium, complete waste of time, we must look into the future & i mean 5 10 even 15 years time, if we are going to be a club to be reckoned with, then we need a 40,000 all seater stadium at least

and if we can't fill it charge supporters half price, that will fill the ground & generate more revenue then we get now

they plan to move by 2012. however they said it was unlikely the building would be sold by 2016.

but surely the unigate site would be more cost effective?

                        F*** me!!

This is an absolute no brainer for any club.

It's effectively FREE money. The sponsor gets their name plastered all over the stadium/tickets/shirts and the media (Jeff Stelling and the gang will refer to it by the sponsor name on Soccer Saturday) yet the fans still call the ground by the old name anyway.

Riverside Stadium or the BT Cellnet Riverside Stadium?
Friends Provident St Mary's Stadium or St Marys?

Even Huddersfield's ground, which is now on it's 4th or 5th sponsorship partnership is still referred to as the McAlpine - the original sponsor...not whatever pharmaceutical company now has naming rights.

Only tends to work for brand new stadiums where the ground has not been referred to as anything else eg the Emirates, but even then, most Arsenal fans still refer to it as Ashburton Grove.

If there is the money out there, rip their hand off right now.

IF QPR moved to the Uxbridge area on the A40, they would sell out most weeks. Huge affluent area to tap into.

In all honesty, I think we'll have to move eventually.

The facilities are already cramped to say the least - I for one would love to stand up at the end of the game without bruises on my shins/knees. I'm only 5ft 10in and can't sit propoerly in South Africa Road stand - god help anyone over 6ft !!

As a comparison I watch London Irish at the Madjeski Stadium (Reading FC) and those are club class seats compared to Loftus Road - you don't even have to stand up when letting someone pass you in the row.

Our small capacity (approx 18k) is not a problem at the moment but should we get to the promised land then it certainly will be !!

You Rrrrrssss - can't wait for Saturday ;D

Would be abit of a shame for us to change our stadium name! I love "Loftus Road"..

Although if we moved i dont think i would mind what it was called.

In a ideal world i would like us to stay at Loftus Road, With the name "Loftus Road" and expand...
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

In regards to the BBC site, I am sure it is now a listed building so it cant be re-developed.
