Play the best formation that suits the players we've got.

and that is currently 4-5-1. whether you like it or not.

We need to play to our strengths and that is that we have a very skillfull team with the ball at their feet. Therefore we should keep the ball on the deck as much as possible and forget this idea that a winger has to beat his man and then cross, as a ball in the air is anyones. Whereas if you hit the line and cut back for a tap in, then percemtage wise we will be playing to our strengths. As long as we can side foot into an open goal which both HH and Blackstock failed to do with many chances last season.

Flexible - the best set up to suit the players we have and the opposition we are playing - both home and away. Most of all though I want to see us set up away from home in a way that improves a shocking record in recent years

4-5-1. at home play 2 attacking midfielders and 1 defensive. away play 2 defensive mids and 1 attacking. so at home, faurlin and buzz, wiv say rowly holding. then away play buzz with say rowlands and mahon playin deeper roles.

Interesting concept - but without a proven striker.......

Depends who we're playing and where.

Some tactics are suited better to other teams.
I certainly feel we desperately need a striker so as we can capitalise on the classic 4-4-2 at home.

Send Gorkss into penalty area on every set piece,Steve Wicks & Bob hazell scored lots of goals for us & a prolific striker wont neccesarily get us up although it would bloody help!!!!

Yep, winning sounds like a good idea.

No-one will ever convince me that 4-5-1 is the best formation at home, I'd rather go 4-3-3.

                              4-5-1 too defensive
