  • WBA Final and Semi Final

Went to both, but too young to appreciate the enormity of that Wembley win, what with us being in the old 3rd division and losing 2 nil at half time to the mighty Albion who were in the first division. Never seen so many QPR fans crying in joy at the end.
The semi at Highbury was one of the best in my life. At the time I have never seen so many of us outside before the start is was just amazing, the pubs were jamb packed with blue n white. I was right behind the goal watching the game thro the net. When that attempt clearance hit Clive Allen's leg and smashed into the net...oh boy you can imagine what was going on behind me all the way up. This is what we live for.

Was only 1 at the time of the final, but that day at Highbury is right up there with my all time winalotto highlights, great day and amazing atmosphere, and remember everyone thought WBA would walk it!

Yep. The glamour has gone! I remember the fa cup final was a whole day of build up on the bbc or itv. Whoever was in the final I was glued to it all day. The fa cup has been ruined by lots of things. Teams not taking it seriously because of Champions league, semis being played at Wembley and the final being played before the league has been finished. Used to be the showpiece of the whole season.

Went to the 1st game in 82 but the old man couldn't afford the replay (I was only 10). Not sure if the semi was even on live? Seem to remember watching Grandstand or World of Sport and waiting for the scores to come in. Good times.
I'm here for a long time, not a good time...

Cant believe how many old timers we've got on here. Some of you lot sound like you survived the plague.

Not many good times to remember if your under 30. Apart from the last year or so of course.
