  • Delightful....

Anyone else feel that this was and adequate description of some of the football we played last night.......?

I remember reading somewhere that MH was a slow starter at a couple of clubs including foolham.... but once he got his team ethos and brand of football and ideas across, that his teams played good football... well at times I thought we looked superb...

If we stay up then I reckon that there will be some serious wedge and thought given to how to push on next season...

A Wolves fan mate is resigned to going down but genuinely wants us to stay up because he believes we still have a very decent chance of doing it and he knows how much it would mean to me. We're childhood buddies and it was quite touching from a fellow hardcore fan...

Don't know what the fool is doing supporting Wolves anyway it's miles away from Kent and we were only pups when the Doog was in his pomp....

Anyway, back to my main point, I thought that we played as well last night as we have done in the last 10 years... am sure someone will remind me of a few stellar performances but I can't think of any off hand....

We stay up and my Wolves buddy reckons we'll tear London up with TF and The Mittal's wedge at our disposal....

Stay up and announce a new stadium site by Aug and it will be a great season for me... even better as have got athletics tickets on a Sat evening in Aug.... U R's....

I didn't see a delightful performance. I saw a committed one; one full of concentration and effort but we didn't dominate them. I thought we were a bit lucky to get the first goal when we did and JM was coming back from offside for the second plus a deflection.

We were still giving the ball away too easily and some desperate clearances certainly didn't give the impression of a commanding performance.

It was a great result and gives us hope for a similar result at WBA, but let's not kid ourselves that we were Real Madrid.

I think we have every chance of a result at WBA on Saturday if we defend well, don't keep on giving the ball away as we have done all season and keep our shape and discipline. Things which MH has much improved.

Thought it was a bit better than a committed performance, but to be fair I can see where your coming from. We cannot get carried away. We aren't safe yet and need to forget about last night and concentrate on WBA, as relegation is still a very real threat.

I agree our ball retention has been a problem all season and still needs to improve but it was a lot better on wed night.

          Ok so maybe...

I got a bit excited but there were passages of play(maybe when the game was safe) when one could see thst there was/is a very decent team in there somewhere bursting to get out...

I still maintain that if we stay up then the powers that be won't mess about in ensuring we are not bottom feeders next season...

Avoiding the drop is an ugly business, we have to take care of business; we can worry about looking prettier on our pre-season tour. We don't want to get shafted behind when we're putting on our make-up, if you get my drift.

I thought we looked very organised and executed a game plan perfectly against Swansea, if they had got a goal when they had all the possession in the first half then it would have been a different story.

The thing about this relegation battle is that we've won 3 of our last 5 games, yet if we loose on Saturday we could be back in the relegation zone.

I can't understate how big a win on Saturday would be.
