  • Taiwo and Onoura

How did they play last night?

    And Anton Ferdinand?

The back 4 all looked good, both have improved dramtically, nedum looked really good going forward last night (which was previously my big criticism of him) he put a number of dangerous crosses into the box and seems to have got out of his "hot potato" mentality.

Taiwo linked up well with Taraabt and Diakite really well, made some good challenges against pacey forwards, and took a yellow for the team at the end

Cant fault anybody, all were superb. Routledge n Sinclair didnt get a sniff down the flanks. Grahem barely got anything. All round great showing from the lads.

have a look on the official at the match photos for a great tackle by Taiwo on Grahem
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Play the same defence week in week put and they will all play well.. Can't remember this season playing the same back four for more then 2 games.

Taiwo was pretty bad on the ball but this has always been the case, was more impressed with Anton than usual, seemed to distribute the ball a little better. Onouha looked better too.

Taiwo to me looks very un-natural on the ball and is sligthly Shittu-eque in the way he plays which is very nerve wracking to watch.

Taiwo is getting better game by game, looks like he's on ice skates at times but wingers dont get alot of change out of him so he is effective in his own way.

                  Hehe. Wrestling more like!:=B:

Anton seems to need a leader like Hill as a partner.

But as Mellowhoop pointed out, a defence needs to gel properly before one slates them.

And that's why we are down at the bottom.

Taiwo is improving with every game he plays, defensively he is alot stronger and didn't really give Routledge a sniff.

Now he's been able to find his feet, get some proper match fitness and get used to the Premier League we're seeing what a good player he is.

Can't praise Hill highly enough, Ferdinand was solid and Nedum had one of his best games.

The confidence the back 4 will take from a clean sheet will be key at the Hawthorns.

Thought all the back 4 were excellent Taiwo & onohua done very well with regard to who they were up against. pacey Sinclair Dyer & Routledge who by the way hasn't changed still cant cross a ball? Ferdinand probably had his best game? but a special mention to Clint Hill I personally beleived he wasn't up to Prem standard? but has been fantastic and probably heading for POTY

They looked ok, although Taiwo did a couple of passes that was very close! But other than that they played really well.
