Mario Balotelli's goes unpunished but Shaun Derry's ban stands
Mario Balotelli's goes unpunished but Shaun Derry's ban stands
English football's disciplinary system was shown to be a joke after Mario Balotelli escaped punishment for a horror tackle after Shaun Derry's red card appeal was thrown out.
So just to clarify, the ref of the Arsenal game says he saw the Balotelli challenge, therefore no retrospective action can be taken. That's everyone's understanding, so makes perfect sense.... now here's the part that doesn't.... after making such an admission, why the f*ck hasn't the highly paid "professional" referee been booted out of a job? If he's "seen" that challenge and doesn't think it warranted even a foul, then he should never officiate a match again.
But of course not a word about the ineptitude of one of their refs, that gets sweptt under the carpet and they all keep getting their large pay packets for fu%^ing up our game.
