  • Helguson and Traore

What has happened to them? Two games ago Helguson said he wd be "disappointed" if he wasn't involved in the next game, then nothing. Not even on the sub's bench against Man U. I wd have thought he wd have been the perfect player for at least some of the game as he holds the ball up better than any striker at our club. Does Hughes not rate him?

As for Traore, know he was injured doing that great tackle a few games ago but since then haven't heard anything about him. In fairness to Taiwo he has looked excellent after a dodgy start but Traore was doing v well before his injury, and I wonder whether he might be an option in midfield for one or two of our more difficult up-coming fixtures - personally I think he offers more of a creative threat than Mackie, SWP and arguably Buz.

Not sure.. I expect MH probably thought OT was not the place to break HH back into the fold. As for Traore, hope he's back soon, and would also love to see him LM as his pace if superb, he;s always direct and is possibly the best crosser on the run we have. He could link well with Taiwo and seemlessly cover when need be. Taraabt could then play from the right and drop Mackie, or a free role behind a striker (Zamora or Cisse when available).

keeping em fresh for swansea and WBA IMO. I honestly think we was set up for damage limitation against man u, nowhere near the urgency and tempo we was for arsenal game

Want Traore playing soon especially against Chel****. Foolhams J.A.Risse with his pace really got at them down the left side big weakness for them in RB position. H.H. taking a very long time to come back?

I dont think Hughes went to Man U looking to get any more than a point that's why He went 4/5/1 hoping for maybe a point wich ref and lino blew out of the water.
Hughe's priority is Swanseloana He held back Barton and Zamora for this game .
Zamora hold's the ball up and lay's it off far better than HH

I'm sure I remember reading somebody post on here previously that they had heard "from the horse's mouth" that MH didnt rate Heidur?

Shame if so as he has contributed hugely to us this season and seems a model pro.

On Thursday the Fulham chronicle quoted Huges as saying DJ is not fully fit but he is closer to a return than Heidar.

I havent seen any reports on Tarore or Young for that matter but Huges doesn't like to reveal team information.

Dunno about that Matty but I'm sure Hughs is too professional for that , as I said my thought's are He went there to defend the point ,and I think He has been in the game too long not realise he has more chance of nod down from HH for the team to do something on the break than Bothroyd doing similar

So he rates Bothroyd but not Helguson?? I don't believe this, In fact I reckon he'll be on the bench at least against Swansea
