As I understand it you have to state which team you support when you sign up and subsequently are not allowed to ref them?

I could be wrong though but I'm sure he (or someone else) mentioned it before.

He did ref us before but it was in a friendly vs Ajax, and he done it as a favour (according to him! lol) pretty sure he hasn't reffed a competitive game, Again, could be wrong though.

Blackpool's manager Ian Holloway welcomes back an official and friend who has fought back after a year out

      Ian Holloway

"He used to be a QPR fan and is so honest that he told [his] bosses that he never wanted to referee QPR again. I wished he had done, though, because I needed some help when I was there," the former Queens Park Rangers manager joked.

Graham Poll is also a Ranger, but reffed the Watford home game a few years back when we won 2-0 (or was it 2-1?), but there was nothing about his performance which was dodgy and Watford's fans certainly made no complaints about it.

Was listening to Talksport a month or so ago and there was an interview I think with Mike Riley and the subject of referees officiating games where their favourite club was involved came up. Basically refs are not allowed to officiate games between clubs they support, the referees organising committee try and avoid a referee being appointed to referee a game of a club more than once in a calender month, (over familiarity) and they also try to ensure that they don't referee games that could influence the fate of their favourite clubs. The problem they have is the lack of PL referees deemed good enough.

That really makes you wonder how bad the others must be, ie: the ones who AREN'T deemed good enough!!!
