My beef with Sousa, was I was falling asleep watching Rangers, won't happen under Magilton, he has a bit of passion. Anyway, thats a different subject for a different time. Alot of negativity now stems from the end of the season
Do you not agree, if we had our way at some point Paul Furlong would have left the club? I can see one of thesee strikers coming good, probably Helgusson.

I can see we are not good enough to challenge the top 2 or even the top 6. I do not feel we have it right yet, all great teams have a decent striker(s), we don't, you cannot depend on buzsaky forever. We still have issues with left and right back position, and some may feel that we do not have the right manager.
I could say let us be positive and we have a winning team, but I would be lying sadly.
A lot of people cannot understand what we are doing, and at times I wonder if the board actually know.
But I will be very happy to be proved wrong :-)

Your missing the point completely , its all about expectations if your right and HH bangs them in next season then great everyone will be happy but if he doesn't and we finish mid table you will want the manager sacked even though we have been crying out for a strikerWe Are The People.....

Tarrabt roasts the defence for a cracking goal, you cannot ask much more. Buzz back, Faulrin added, biggest plus is Balanta. We don't focus enough on the positives and keep on about a striker who may or may not get goals. Everyone and his dog wanted Helgusson after he scored 3 goals in 2 games and now suddenly he is a pile of turd. Too many fickle fans who live for the moment. Given the chance, someone like Furlong would never have been given the chance at QPR, which sort of proves my point.
I can remember him being booed practically for a whole season
Sorry but HH has been a pile of turd since he's been here, never seen an internatial player miss so many chances, not even hitting the target, allways liked Agy, not for his goals but his general play, but at the mo he dont look interested. They seek him here.................

Yes, the lack of patience is amazing.
Good job you are the sane voice of reason, and wouldn't dream of not giving somebody time to learn and settle down.
The way we've destroyed the oppo in the pre-season friendlies should fill everyone with total optimism that will carry us through the season on a wave of goals and flowing football.
I'm all for supporting the team, manager, and the club in general... not once did I boo or barrack a player (or manager) last season. Very realistic and optimistic, me.
But when serial web-slaggers of a manager decide that anyone who is showing negativity only a couple of months later should be taken to task and called "fickle" on the very same website... it does smack of huge hypocrisy and a massive lack of self awareness.
But carry on with the rallying cries, and unconditional support.
Very admirable.

as for HH not everyone was excited about him coming........also players play that bit better when looking for a move or new contract....seems to have slackened off since he got one.

Pete you came out with the same crap last season. Decarmine, Parejo and Ledesma were all gonna be world beaters. I hope Faulin and Pelliconi turn out to be stars but will reserve judgement for now.
With the exception of Adel we havent improved the squad since last year. We scored scandelously few goals then and since have sold our top scorer.
Still no qualilty striker or full back.
I think we will do slightly better this year, Magilton will have to do a great job to get us into the top 6 though.
I support the team 100% at games but am only being realistic.

I am positive that the football and entertainment will be better, but still feel that QPR do need a good goalscorer. Also, QPR still appear to be content to make do with makeshift full backs i.e Ramage and Connolly (if Borrowdale turns out to be as bad as Sousa seemed to think).
The pre-season games can only be about fitness, becuase let's be honest here, the quality of opposition was poor in all the games in England.
Aldershot, Forest Green, Oxford, Wycombe, Kettering & Southampton were not good enough to provide a test to the players or even the style of play and systems used, but it seems to me that some people are being carried away by the 5 from 6 victories against lowly opposition.
The only decent opposition were on the tour and they failed to win either of the two games.
Peterborough played against 3 Prem sides, lost all of them, but the players know that they had tested their game plans and ability. One player was quoted as saying they learnt far more from these games than they would have by playing, and comfortably beating, non-league and L2/L1 sides.
It sounds as if Helguson is unfit and still struggling to score a goal. Agyemang hasn't done much better and neither has Vine. Pellicori has scored a couple and come close on a few other occasions too.
Balanta has looked lively and might do better this season, but is still a way off from being a regular starter.
On a more positive note, Rowlands seems to be near to full fitness and Mahon has looked better alongside him and other players (hopefully we wont see him alongside Leigertwood in a CM pairing again).
Alberti has also performed quite well in a new CM role.Last edited by stanistheman; 03-08-2009, 04:04 PM.
