HH, Vine, Agy none of those three looked to be match fit, with a week to go be4 the big kickoff.....is it becouse of the rubbish teams we played pre season where to be honest our players didn't have to push themselves and wernt really pushed, i saw the first and last pre season friendlys and cant see any improvement in the above players fitness levels.

Or were some of them just not trying.

I dont include Vine he seemed to be trying but just not at the races as yet.
    They seek him here.................

my point exactly, the quality of the teams on tour couldnt have been great as we would have heard of them....

Everything, I have seen pre-season has been positive and we've done really well. Me Thinks, fans are still thinking about last season, spoke to a couple of mates on Saturday, straight away they said " Borrowdale is rubbish" and "Balanta won't be any good". Surely, thats based too much on media and what fans saw last season. Have to say, even though it was a friendly soon changed their tunes after the game.

Any chance we can be a bit more positive??
        Its called being realistic

I wont want JM to be sacked if we don't finish in the top six but I bet you will

we haven't learnt from last season I.E no decent strikers

Honestly, I have told my self to stop reading and posting on MB's as much this season. I always try to remain as positive as possible about my club but I'm actually starting to get a bit disillusioned with some of our support and the negative stuff they write and say.

I want to enjoy this season as much as possible and I'm not sure I will if I allow myself to get drawn it in to silly debates about lack of signings, no ambition and Season Ticket Prices.

IMO these are exciting times with the new board and the quality of players we have at the club now. Unfortunatly to me it seems like we have a large section of fans who will never be happy no matter what.

            It is ironic, isn't it?

Very selective too. But he'll let you all know when it is ok to #### the manager and have a good old extended moan.
            Stay tuned folks.

I'll give all the players my backing Pete...you know that, but I can't help but be sceptical over some. If I know nothing about them, I can't get excited. This is why I like many are screaming for a name. Someone like Kamara or even Phillips at the age he's at.

If we sign a top striker, I'd be very, very excited and optemistic about the future as I feel we'd be genuine contenders. Am I happy at the progress so far??? Yes...I suppose I am to a degree, but still not 100% happy in the lack of a top striker. We've moved on emmencely since 2006, but we should still be trying to push on faster as every team around us is growing in strength. That's testiment to how fast English football, and the CCC is progressing. There are some top teams and top players in this league and we boast more than most, but we still have to have a clinical finisher.

In all honesty...I'm still bitter at the sale of Dex without a replacement. We'll miss him so much more that some believe. I just don't want us to get to January and be off the pace before we address this issue, that's all.

Fingers crossed, we'll get a result.

talking about the areas were we are not good enough is not being negative it's being honest.

last season we had high expectations. the high expectations cost 2 managers there jobs.

i bet ten games in if we are not doing well you will be calling for JM's head.

you can't pretend our strikers are good enough and then moan when we are not in the playoffs.

if you wan't another season like last then you keep kidding yourself. if not then wake up.

Has he scored for Forest since he pocketed 15K a week for 4 years ?

Played twice and got an assist last week.

I've not heard too many Forest fans moan about him. Still, I'm sure you're still overjoyed at the fact we no longer have our top scorer and can't wait to see the likes of Aggy and Heider blitzing the oppositions goals.

                    I'm getting gossebumps already.

We struck 3 against Southampton even without being in second gear.

Cruised passed Wycombe like we should do, but many championship teams have found difficulty against lower league clubs.

Tarrabt roasts the defence for a cracking goal, you cannot ask much more. Buzz back, Faulrin added, biggest plus is Balanta. We don't focus enough on the positives and keep on about a striker who may or may not get goals. Everyone and his dog wanted Helgusson after he scored 3 goals in 2 games and now suddenly he is a pile of turd. Too many fickle fans who live for the moment. Given the chance, someone like Furlong would never have been given the chance at QPR, which sort of proves my point.

I can remember him being booed practically for a whole season

                        back all the players 100%
but the board can go **** itself after after the farce of last season.
Hyped it all up and then inbetween sacking managers and turning the club into a circus made it pretty obvious what they think of the fans. Players Ill cheer and back but all the board will get from me is abuse.

The fact is if we had a decent goal scorer I think we could get into the play offs , as we haven't I have resigned myself to mid table , you seem to think were going to blitz the league but then come November when reality takes a hold i.e we need a striker you will be wanting JM to be sacked

That's because he was good for us back then (not as a scorer) and also came with some sort of goal scoring pedigree. Look at him now mate...he's put on weight and to be honest had a shocking end to last season. I don't think It's impossible for him to find his goal scoring touch, but he's hardly looking sharp these days, is he?

                            Beckford and Kamara are avaialble'
                            Welbeck is on offer.
Dempsy could be worth a shout.
West Brom must have a decent one avaialable?
Priskin and Smith are both looking to get out of Watford.

For christs sake...McGoldrick, Sears, Stern John (don't care what you say, he's worth 15 goals a season) and Lita have all gone to other clubs. We've missed out massively on them Pete.

All the above are better than Heider and Aggy, that I'm sure of.

Noticed you didn't disagree with the other points.

My beef with Sousa, was I was falling asleep watching Rangers, won't happen under Magilton, he has a bit of passion. Anyway, thats a different subject for a different time. Alot of negativity now stems from the end of the season

Do you not agree, if we had our way at some point Paul Furlong would have left the club? I can see one of thesee strikers coming good, probably Helgusson.
