The game had already been interrupted when Mason blew his whistle for Young's dive. It then would have taken 5 seconds to check the replay to confirm that (as well as the offside). To then not give a pen and red card would be an example of a "game-changing" decision, where video technology now must surely be used. The financial stakes are now simply too high for it not to be brought in (i.e. millions of £'s).

Easy, just have a video ref. I would like to see ex footballers become referees.

That would be a minefield as people would question would Gerrard be impartial to Man Utd decisions and would Gary Neville be impartial to Liverpool decisions ?

Have a video ref like rugby. If the ref feels the need to have a decision reviewed call up to the video ref to check it and it will take about 20seconds. Also the rules of time in football should be changed to replicate rugby but just with 90mins and that would cut out ridiculous amounts of added time like with the Dichio incident.

Without video you have players who surround the ref for a minute or two, game would have started by then if there was a video ref.

Not all decisions should be watched, just the major decisions.

If we had the video in place for yesterdays game then Young should have been booked and he slowed the game down by diving.

Few players will try to pull a stunt like that if we had video in place, result would mean less stoppage time.

If a player gets a second yellow, this is major. Should you then check the first one was ok?

First one was a warning, a bit like infraction points, you would then know to be careful.

If players don't make a big deal then get on with it, most cases we all know if it was a second yellow or not, video would take 5 seconds. The player takes more than a minute to walk off the pitch and decision should have been make by the video ref.

Yep why not, all major game changing decisions, Goals, red cards. In cricket if there is an appeal the 1st thing they check is whether it was a no ball.
If a goal is scored could they not just check if there was a foul in the buildup or offside before giving it, and all imean is go back 2 passes for instance.

A referee in each half. Aussie rules has 3 on feild referees. They are not athletes are they, not as quick as the players. Thyey need their jobs made easier. Goal line technology only for me...

Otherwise there will be no mistakes and nothing to moan about in the pub after.

Again, the manager would have three challenges.

This is why nothing will never change, as people who don't want change (that's you) create enough if my auntie had ******** she would, be my uncle scenarios, that peope just think sod it, leave it as it is.

Full use of technology and video referees in my opinion. The thing is, it needn't slow down the game at all because there would only need to be interruptions to play if it were obvious that the referee has got it wrong. You could even rate referees on how often they got things wrong, leading to a general improvement in standards generally.

With our incident yesterday, this would of course rely on the prat of a ref not blowing up for guessing what he thought he saw, but even allowing for such staggering incompetnece, at least the decision could be overturned.

With the Man City game, who would really complain if at the next break in play, the ref retrospectively walked over to Ballotelli and issued the deserved red card? Job done, there and then and no debate as to how the game may have been influenced.

Not really hard to put in place is it, assuming you want to improve things and not compound the issues that already exist.

I'm all for it, it's where to draw the line, it's not as easy as people think.

I would like to see goal line technology for if the ball crossed the line.

Also i would like the ref to be given the option to refer to a video ref if he and the linesman are not 100% on a decision. If they decide amongst themselves without the video and it's wrong, then so be it.But it gives them an option on decisions they are not 100% sure about.

Trouble is stan this penis stroker was so quick off the mark and looked so smug that he was right, if he was given an option of video help he would have turned it down anyway
