There are many decisions that go for and against you during the year and there is nothing you can do about them and I would include the likes of Barton's and Cisse sending offs, both technically right but open to interpretation.
However the linesman at the Bolton game who was stood at the corner flag and clearly told he referee he could not see the ball go over the line because he had two players blocking his view. Now that was impossible as the replays showed as goalkeeper reached behind the line to pull it out and the only other player any where near was the Bolton defender stood just in front of the goal line, so no obstruction. By that statement and forgetting his sheer incomtence which could be challenged in itself he has incriminated himself because his statement has been proved to be false.
Today the lineman was directly in line with Young with the player passing the ball only about 10 yards away so no distance issues. You would have to hope he is honest, an I believe they all are then the judgement would be the level of error and if it was acceptable. That decision is as easy as it gets so can't see many seeing it as anything other than negligence (most if not all observers are describing it as unbelivable). Therefore we would definently have a case.
These type of decisions continue to happen an Neil someone takes a stand nothing will change.

we are near the bottom because we have played cr@p this year, especially out star players.
This thread is just embarrassing.

Yes silvercue we have not been briliant, but i wonder what Mr Mason will be thinking when he watches MOTD2 tonight, knowing that millions of football fans have seen him either to be competly imcompent or worse.
This **** merry go round has got to end soon, Sky won't keep pumping the money in forever, will they?.I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

The problem is that players try and cheat constantly - makes the refs job impossible to do 100% right.

The FA and their officials are untouchable and beyond critisism.
They make errors and don't have to explain or apologise, and those that do try to critisise decisions bring the game into disrepute and are fined.
Its an 'ol boys' network, possibly more bent than we think.
It stinks, but they have utter control of their game.

What if a team, any team, just said no, and refused to play on due to idiotic decisions on a live game on Sky with millions watching just like today.
What are the rules and the consequences?Last edited by cross it Dave; 08-04-2012, 09:50 PM.I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

What are the rules?.
Game would fall to bits very fast.

Are there any precidents?, What are the rules?, what would the real owners of the game, Sky say?, I think the FA would bottle it, they have lots of form in that area.I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

There is only one answer, take away from referees the option to "interpret" the laws of the game, and instead force referees to apply the laws as written down.
Sometimes, decisions will seem harsh as the letter of the law is applied, but that would affect all clubs, and not just the few.
We have had 7 players sent off this miserable season, 7.
No way are we that dirty a side, no way.
But we have all seen our lads get red cards for something another player elsewhere, will get a yellow for.
That sort of inconsistency, does the premier league no favours at all, in fact, the high level of poor decision making, makes the premier league look like a Mickey Mouse league, and not as the media would have us all believe, the best league in world football.
Best league? My #### it is.
