We can afford to lose today as long as it's not by too many. I reckon Hughes is doing the right thing resting Barton who could be on a ban if he gets a yellow. Hughes must see something in Bothroyd that he knows is right for today's game.
I will be well happy with a draw, Hughes probably thinks the same.

Regarding Barton; sooner or later he will pick another yellow card, so why not play the midfield we have to rely on when he is absent?
That´s the way I see it.
