Pre season- crap

why have we played so many low league teams?? now when the players come to the 8th august the championship standard is going to be a huge step up.

We should have played teams in the premiership, la liga or serie a so when we come back to playing in the league it should be easier.

Such a short sighted comment!!

Who do you think your supporting?? You talk like were some prem team who should be playing glamour and glitz games against big clubs...

I think our friendlys have been fantastic, granted there lower league but confidence is a massive boost for any team going into a season with hopes of promotion, we have that. Whats the point in playing arsenal and getting spanked 6-0! What good would that do!!

I also find people moaning about not having enough home pre season games totally stupid!! Im glad we had a few away trips to smaller lower league clubs, made for a change, plus most importantly if were to play the attractive football with some style that everyone wants next season we need to maintain our pitch, our home form is vital next season.

Magilton said that the game against Southampton was arranged so we could play a team as close to the standard of our first opponents as possible.

We'll see on Saturday if the plan worked.
