Awesome performance today and massive result obviously.

Credit to everyone today as they all religiously stuck to a clear game plan, worked their socks off and had discipline which has been sorely lacking of late.

Well done MH for getting his tactics spot on and sorting the defence out.

Well done Joey Barton for coming back in without any chip on the shoulder or grudge, as i'm sure many would think you would, and getting on with it with a great performance to silence the boo boys.

Well done Clint Hill for getting hold of our defence and keeping it tight.

Well done Onouha for putting recent mistakes behind you and having a solid game.

Well done Taiwo for having a great game and for the most part having Walcott in your pocket and hopefully dispelling the myth some fans have that you can't defend.

Well done Zamora for busting your balls up top with a thankless lone striker role and bullying both their CB's.

Well done Mackie for getting your head up to see the pass for Diakite to score and Barton after that which could've been 3-1.

Well done Taraabt for getting off the mark in the prem with a top class goal.

Well done Diakite for bossing the midfield, having endless energy and scoring the winner with a top class finish when many would have blazed it over.

Well done Paddy for a world class save against the top striker in the league when i think the game was 1-1. If they'd scored then i couldn't see us getting back in it.

Well done Derry for a couple of impecibly timed challenges when they nearly broke clear.

Well done Anton for having a solid game at the back and finding your early season form once more.

I think that's everyone. I felt they all deserved a mention and to a man were outstanding. We need to build on this performance as it showed what we can really do. Liverpool was smash and grab and flattered us, but this was quality against a far better side.

Oh and well done to all the fans in the ground as the atmosphere sounded fantastic.

    Onwards and upwards!!

yes, the goals were class against the in form team in the Prem, the best striker too.

Tarbs and Barton were very big for us today.

See - booing your own isn't always going to make them play worse.

Disagree. In the games when they are having a mare, getting boo'd only compounds it and they normally get worse in the game not better.

Batron didn't get booed while he was playing. He got booed after he was subbed. Big difference - and it seems to have made him think as he has tweeted about it a lot and suddenly puts in his best performance of the season.

He was being booed by a large number of people during the game.

Didn't hear that in the slightest. So can hardly have been much.

It was audible enough for the commentators to comment on it more than once, after a misplaced pass or twenty.

They were groans, not boos, and everyone gets them when they pass to the opposition.

He was boo'd plenty during the Liverpool game. It gradually got louder with every frustrating moment.

Some think doing it has a positive impact but it shouldn;t be needed when we are paying a manager handsomely to see what is obvious, and shouldn't need swaying by the crowd to make a decision.

IF he wouldn't of taken Barton off in that game without the booing, he's not doing his job properly. WE will never know.

What is for sure is that it won't have improve any players performance in any game if boo'd.

Started as groans, were definitely boos by the time he went off.
