Really hope the team show some kind of fight and passion this Saturday otherwise I can see the relationship between them and the fans really hitting an all time low

Dont think we have got a hope in hell of beating them but all we want is to at least see them having a go of it

Exactly my thoughts mate. I hate watching us loose, but if we at least put up a fight and show some heart then I can accept it.

Worried Saturday could be another 6 niller.

over past 3/4 weeks ive found myself saying this.. but in same breath I am now saying we cant afford to play the likes of diakite & cisse for fear of a red card - although the latter wont get much more game time.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
        Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

Amazing to think when I walked away from Loftus Road less than a week ago, I felt so proud of the way we came back. Suddenly we are near an all time low. I think it is the Cisse sending off that was disappointing more than the loss on Saturday.

Isle, wanting passion is a pointless wish now mate. I want a win and i dont care if we get battered for 70 minutes like liverpool did, but still win.
Our players do not care mate, I have accepted that.

We need to do whatever it takes to get points from now on in. If that means forget the pretty football principles, then that has to be the way. We all know Aresenal are a class apart at the best of times, but to be facing them pon the back of 7 straight wins is a nightmare. We need to ruffle their feathers and play a style against them they won't like and in turn disrupt their passing game. Let them know they're in a game by getting stuck in hard but do it shrewdly so not to pick up cards if possible. Then the likes of Walcott, Arteta, Rosicki etc may hide a bit and not want the ball all the time and affect their play.....

That said we probably won't get near enough to them to put in a challenge. The worry is an average Liverpool team had us chasing shadows with their 1 touch play and Arsenal could take that style to another level. That said, Liverpool played them off the park at Anfield also, so can certainly turn it on when they want.

My worry is normally you'd think our only hope would be to defend well to contain them and then hit them on the break, but our defence has been sooo poor lately i fear we could get pulled all over the place and then they have additional runners into the holes... However, i am just hopeful that our tight pitch will be less suited to their game and the fans can intimidate the likes of Walcott.

Good post we don't seem to be getting in teams faces like we did under NW. Do you think it's worth playing 4-3-2-1 again to try and protect the back 4 more?

I think the problem then is if we have too much impotus on defending we could be trapped in our own half and under siege. I mentioned in another post i think he should go with the below if Traore available.

                    .................Kenny

                    Young....Ferdinand....Onoura / Hill....Taiwo

                    SWP.....Barton.....Diakite.......Troare
                    ...............Taraabt

                    ...............Zamora

The defence has been woeful but he needs to stop changing players and stick with them so they get to grips with eachother as a unit, so expect the main players to play, but think HIll could do a job instead of Onouha if need be. Then we have options upfield, can pack the midfield to try and suffocate their game and when we get the ball try and break with SWP, Troare and Taraabt linking with and running beyond BZ.

Yeah i see, i do realise playing the system i said we would have to rely on breakaways, but i thought putting 3 in the middle would make it harder for them to pass through us, but you could be right, we may not get out

We must win at all costs.
Passion, desire, hunger, a will to win, I want to see all that from our lot against ArseAnal on Saturday.
And if we still lose, then at least we will have seen them give their all.
