Theres defo something there facto. Looks a powerhouse going forward and if he can learn to time his tackles better he could become a legend for us. The guy definitely has potential. Passing was poor for the first 20 minutes against Liverpool but he grew into the game and was huge factor for us.

Have to agree with all the above.
Samba definately has something about him, something that makes me think, yeah, Diakite is a damn good prospect, and no mistake.

yes navern i noticed he 'pulled' out of a late tackle near the end so perhaps he is a quick learner.........roy keane/viera more often than not saw red two/three times a campaign as their combative nature took over!

I think the sign of a good player is their first touch, his is fantastic, watch him tomorrow, i would say it is the best on the pitch

Once he settles into the English game, and adjusts his pace when tackling,he will be a great signing IMO.

Hopefully the board and MH are looking into making him a permanent fixture (he's only on loan). He did have disciplinary problems in France but it looks like the coaching staff are helping him out with this problem. I assume the French speaking members of the squad (Cisse, Taarabt and Traore) are also helping out.

I believe it's a done deal assuming we stay up.

He is a class act and has all the ingredients to really shine in England.

                    First para:

If QPR stays in the Premiership, they will buy Diakite for a little over 4 million Euros. Was supposed to go to Lyons but they didn't want him because he was participating in the African Cup. Also there is a history of agents in this (not sure what that means).

                    Para 2

End of a long story, Lyons tried to sign Samba in the summer for a little over 6 millions Euros and two players on loan to Nancy. Nancy finally refused the offer. At the time Nancy supporters were happy with this decision on the back of a good 2010-2011 season.

                    Para 3
The problem was that he had a poor first half of the season (scored one goal in the cup).

                    Para 4
Everybody on this forum recognizes his potential and that he has the style "to impose himself in England" However this season he was too individualist and too imprecise with his passes and his head was elsewhere after the promise of a false departure to Lyons. Everything was going too fast for somebody coming from Noisy-le-Sec (a very small place) in 2009 and has only played 41 matches in League 1.

                    Para 5
For Nancy the moral of this story is clear "it serves no purpose to keep a player who wants to leave" Although the agreement with QPR does not reach the gigantic proposal made by Lyons 31 August, it's still a good financial transaction should he stay with the English club at the end of the season. For it must be remembered that Samba has been here for three years and did not cost Nancy anything.

I read that before, but will add if anyone club could fall foul to a c0ck up that would see us lose a good player because of technical paperwork errors it would be QPR. Regardless of what all that says if a big fish comes swimming he wont be a QPR.

I mentioned to a mate as soon as i saw Samba play that he reminded me of Patrick Viera and that if we stay up he will be a beast next season, god help us if we go down because i can see one of the bigger clubs taking an interest in him especially the way he played in the 2nd half against LIVERPOOL !!

I liked him in his first game when he was on the ball. Then he decided to try and murder the opposition by way of cutting them in half with his waist high tackles.
