  • QPR Press Conference...

    Journo Simon Peach just tweeted...

Just leaving the #QPR presser. Mark Hughes did not like it when I had the temerity to suggest his team were woeful for 77 mins against Lpool

To give #QPR their due, the turnaround was quite something. So too, however, was their inability to string passes together for the mostpart.

lol he has a point we were terrible for much of the game and rode our luck big time...going to have to be a massive impprovement in performance tomorrow compared to last few months unless we just rely on our luck again

also from Mark Hughes at the presser... ‘Jamie (Mackie) came on and he’s a player that has such energy late in games. He can upset people and have an impact'

    impact sub then

    and

‘Joey’s got a part to play from now until the end of the season. He’s our Captain and he’ll get on with it'

as expected he wont be dropping Barton

I guess Mark is just trying to stay positive, we shall see soon enough if this was just a blip or not.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

Fair comment though we played superbly against Everton and only got a draw and played OK against Bolton and got beaten. Am fed up with writes up basically saying "QPR were playing some tidy football but it all went wrong for them when..." If we win lucky or win ugly, so be it.

Why couldn´t this .... journo highlight and give Mark and the team credit for the last 15 minutes instead of slating the first 77??

            I´ll give up!!

            QPR

Oh **** news about Traore, I think as regards JB he has to play so Hughes can show him he still has faith in him, and to give Joey the chance to rectify that perfomance

Bad news about Traore, think he's always been good for us whens he's played but seems to be made of glass!
Couldn't care less how we play between now and then end of the season if we somehow manage to survive!
Remember the first game of the 'new era' when we played Newcastle off the park for 90 mins only to get a 0-0 draw!

We were probably more in control for the last 15 mins of the 1st half and the same in the 2nd half. That initial remark seems to imply we did nothing until we scored the first goal, which is rubbish -- Cisse had two good shots on goal first half, and Diakite one which wasn't that far over the bar.
Once Mackie came on, the team seemed lifted and we started putting pressure on Liverpool and they were starting to make unforced errors.
Not luck that they conceded 3 in 13 mins, but us unnerving them.
Also, some of our defending in the 1st 20 minutes was totally passionate and every hand on deck stuff, which we haven't been doing. Onouha is so much better as a CB, Young back makes a difference.
And I'm beginning to think Diakite could be as big as find as Faurlin -- them together in CM next season, anyone?
But we won that game 3-2, got 3 points, and THAT'S what the record book will show, nothing else.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########
