Was this fella claiming to be his Dad in the Adelaide?
As for the Captaincy I would agree it needs to be ripped from his arm pronto.
The man needs to show some humility but I wont hold me breath for that.
Will make some exceptions for him:-
Northern lad in london - time to settle.
Missus just had kid.
Unsettled pre-season.
Wrongly sent off
However he blows all that out of the water with
I'm on £bundles a week
"Oh well, nobody died"
"Cracking little Saturday night"
Pulls out of challenges
Woeful at set pieces.
I hope he comes good when the majority of us are least expecting it.I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

He said he was really up for the game and his dad even backed him for 1st goal scorer. The interesting comment he did make was Joey does not want the responsibilty of the captaincy and wants to just concentrate on playing. Just passing on info, no idea if what he was saying was gospel but he seemed genuine enough."Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

i did wonder whether the booing might be the kick up the wotsit that barton seems to need to start focussing and delivering on the field. this evening's tweetfest ("Not bad in a struggling team....", "#wellplayed" etc) seem to imply that he feels last night's shocker was a one-off aberration in an otherwise good season. um...

Tbf to him, if people are constantly trying to throw negatives at him and pull out stats to try mug him off, why wouldnt he pull out some stats to try defend himself? I know I would.
