  • Stewards - LFC fan in X block

I arrived into the ground at 7.30pm and as I walked up X block, I saw a man with a blue Liverpool top on....alerted the stewards, who did nothing.... So Liverpool score, he cheers and then it gets a bit hairy! Why the hell was this bloke not ejected by 7.45 or at least told to put his coat back on.

    Stupid!

Had a dad near me who brought his young son (9 yrs old max) in a Liverpool shirt. No one said anything nasty to the boy but when we made the comeback and the chanting got to fever pitch and everyone was going crazy he was covering his ears and looked really upset. Its one thing sitting with other supporters but its another thing making your presence too obvious - unless you are going to take over an entire stand like we did at Watford.

well im not sure that i understand your point really we all have sat in the oppositions seats ,when i went to plymouth away some plymouth said that were not happy that i was in there stand so i said what are you going to do about it and they just forgot all about me,sometimes you have to seat in the oppositions seats if you cant get a seat in your own end

as long as the nastiness doesn't happen around kids or damage the repuation of the game in the ground - sit where you like.
just more fun in your own end.

The point is he was wearing a Liverpool top, and was a big threat for some trouble. If the stewards couldn't see that they need sacking. I too have sat in the home ends, even at Hillsborogh in 2004 but I didn't hold a sign up saying 'I'm here, what you gonna do about it'.

I completely agree, I saw some bin dippers in their full regalia walking into the SAR stand and wondered how the stewards didnt do anything about it (considering they chuck people out for standing etc). The sheer arrogance of it is what gets me turning up with all that tat on like a 12year old, Ive sat in the opposition ends on a few occassions but just made sure I kept my nut down. Had we of lost that game chances are those like that twerp in the x block wouldve got a kicking and then the stewards wouldve had to do some real work for a change.

              if

if away fans want to take a chance then its up to them to take a chance i have found that if you watch the game and just enjoy the game, usually its ok..................but if someone goes into the home teams end and keep shouting insults then you may well expect a slap

                Easy understandable house rules:

                1 don't wear colours
2 show no real emotion when your team scores/ plays well
                3. Don't get pis*sed pre match or half time
                4. Keep quiet
                5. If home team score a gentle clap will suffice

I was in the family stand and I took a Liverpool supporting boy with me. (I posted many weeks ago on here to get views) but I wore a QPR scarf (don't ever wear colours)...the lad didn't show his Liverpool top, but it turned out there were Liverpool fans all over the LL.

Not sure how as I struggled to get tickets.

Sat in X block with my missus, a Liverpool fan. Had to tell her to stifle her urge to celebrate when they scored their first (she was OK for the second).

Nothing wrong with opposing fans sitting in our areas if they are with friends or family and don't get carried away.

There were loads of Asians in Ellerslie rd last night. Was it a coincidence that Liverpool were in town?

Hillsbro 2004 sat in the Cantilever stand with Wednesday fans. Htf i dint go crazy when we scored our first goal was incredible discipline. I didnt even clap but inside i was going crazy. 40 or so Rangers fans jumped up and all got ejected. 2nd goal went in and again just sat there. Another 20 or so Rangers fans jumped up and got ejected. Then Wednesday pulled one back and their fans went mental. I just clapped and tried to keep calm but god knows how when they were calling us all kinds of Southern names. My 4 year old son was sat at the side of me and he was clueless to what was going on but i was trying to hold all the feelings inside. When we got the third i so nearly let rip but again held myself together. My shirt was hidden under my coat but as the final whistle went we stood up to leave and as we were walking to the exits i undid my jacket and exposed my shirt. No-one bothered me and they left me alone but maybe it was cos i kept quiet but it was the hardest thing to not let out my feelings in such an emotional game.

We sat in with the home fans at Arsenal and Spurs, (we never wear colours but it was clear we were Rangers ) and only got a few comments at Spurs and nothing at all at the ####.
But agree wearing a liverpool shirt in the Ellerslie is taking the ****.

One year I was in Spurs seats with my ex wife and her brother and went mental for all goals when we won 3-1. Same again at Charlton in their seats when Tony Roberts saved a penalty. Both times no one said a dicky.
I was in the Norwich end in the 80's when we won 2-0 there was about ten of us and must admit we did get a bit loud. On the way out we got a bit of a slap from about twenty lads.
These days I probably wouldn't bother going in a home area, not worth the aggro.

Watford last season..was Behind the goal(the other one)..did well to check my emotions..at the end the sang "we hate QPR" which was hard to listen too...but took full of advantage singing we R QPR and no one noticed...
