  • Mackie - impact sub or starter?

After that brilliant ending to last nights game and Mackies 110% effort not forgetting his goal do you think he would be better used as an impact sub like last night or should he be starting games?

The thing with Mackie and is why he divides fans is that when he starts a game he is not very effective. He doesn't really create chances. He just runs downs blind alleys.

But when he comes on, he is always likely to get a chance and last night he put it away.

For me, he needs to improve his game creatively to get a start.

When Barton plays wide right the side does not look very balanced. He was awful last night.

And hopefully we can get him off before the damage is done next time, don't fancy another nail biting comeback like that again.

Impact sub. Which is no criticism. Vital to have someone who can change games to come off the bench.

Impact sub for sure. Said it months ago his energy and pace will be more effective against tiring defenders. He won't split up Cisse and Zamora so will never start up front unless we play a 3, and he's not good enough to start in midfield.
