Not about being right or wrong though. I mean, I always liked George Santos.....and I'm definitely the only one who thinks that!

Thought he was v gd tonight when he came on. Must admit had to stiffle a groan when I saw him coming on as Traore had been superb and Taiwo has been at best inconsistent but started to show his class tonight.
Diakte has the potential to be a really good player - just needs more coaching, particulaly to teach him to release the ball earlier. Look at how Liverpool played first half hour - just pass and go. So simple but cut us to ribbons.

He wasnt the defender made to look stupid on the edge of the box by suarez with 2 straightforward turns, that was Onouha.
When the ball rebounded off the post to Downing, he was the first defender who went to block a shot which Downing faked on Taiwo, then Ferdinand and then a 3rd defender i think was Onoura also, before shooting, which Paddy parried to Kuyt who scored.
So please explain how Taiwo was "totally at fault" as clearly your interpretation of the game works differently to everyone on planet Earth.
He played well when on the pitch bar a dodgy moment early on. As usual his general distribution to the front or advanced midfield players was accurate, he defended fine and delivered quality into the box.
As for those slating Diakite's performance.... Bear in mind this. This was only his 2nd full match in England, he was paired with Derry in the midfield, and was competing against arguably the best midfielder the prem's ever seen in Gerrard, plus Charlie Adam who was shortlisted for player of the year last year..... Considering those little facts, i think he had a fantastic game. Yes he lost the ball early on with a couple of sloppy passes, but after that was solid, energetic, a driving force, an out ball, skillful and good in posession.
What more do some fans want!!
