MattyQPR- I can see your points, certainly agree that for some reason we always have to have a boo boy, previously Legs, earlier in the season Bothroyd and now Barton.
For me Barton has done nothing to ender himself to the fans. No all action performances like we expected, just timid, woeful displays that were very, very low on quality. Add the performances to the fact that he walks round the pitch looking like he owns the place, the downright embarrassing comments he made about NW after his departure, the numerous stupid tweets and the countless times he has ripped into Taarabt, Mackie and others on the pitch and the fact he is by far our highest paid player, you can understand why paying fans will get angry.
I don't agree with booing a QPR player, as you point out it does no good at all. But I have to say that for me, JB has bought a great deal of it on himself and had he arrived and been a lot more humble, professional and shown appreciation for the work his team mates/manager did last season and actually put in performances that earned him the armband, instead of being given it, then he wouldn't be getting the flack he is.
I won't boo him, I won't condone those that do boo him, but I can certainly understand their frustrations and reasons for doing it.
He needs to stop acting like Billy Big b****cks, get his head down and graft out some performances. He'll soon find the boos stop.
I completely agree with you and have said on numerous threads his performances have been bad, however on Wednesday his first pass that went wrong, people couldn't wait to slaughter him, it's as if they enjoyed it! That's not good! Personally i wouldn't have played him on Wednesday as i think his performances haven't been enough to warrant a start but MH picked him and we have to get behind the players, like them or loathe them.
Joey doesn't help himself with his tweets though, he admitted he was poor against Liverpool but then had to have a dig at the fans who booed, he shouldn't have done that whether he thought they were wrong to boo him or not.
I just hope it's the end of it now, as booing is not the answer. He now realises he's not untouchable and won't get a free ride which is fine but i hope our fans don't try to destroy him!
Let's start a clean slate tomorrow and back every player in our squad from now until the final whistle at City in May! They need our support!

That is utter rubbish. He didn't get booed until he was subbed. Yes there were groans when he repeatedly gave the ball away when not under pressure but every player gets that.
There were boos and heckles in the West Paddock that he could clearly hear, right from his first misplaced pass onwards
No sound has come out of the West Paddock for years, so that simply cannot be true. Someone dropped a pin there in 2004 and 2 people had to get medical attention.

Watch the game back on Football First and you'll soon agree with me. Off the top of my head the first i remember is when he over hit a cross after about 15 mins and you could hear booing from the crowd!
