He was so bad he should have been subbed before the break.
I didn't boo because I never have and never would.
I know what you mean, but I don't entirely agree. It's just the way QPR fans are. Remember the response Leigertwood got last January in the game against Norwich, came on for last 15 mins, didn't complete a pass and everyone was cussing and booing at him everytime he had the ball. Pretty much booed him out of the club, all the way to Reading. To me Leigertwood was a stalwart to our club in previous years, in no way up himself like Barton, but still received the same treatment.
I think it's just the way us QPR fans are, we've put up with so much **** over the years, we can't help but get on their backs when we are playing for such high stakes.

I'm amazed some people thinks booing will help the squad, gobsmacked!
People have somehow got the idea that Joey is a bully and is hated by the squad, i'd like to know where they get that from? Also that Joey doesn't care, again where does that come from? Look back at the scenes from Wednesday night and tell me he doesn't care?
Also someone saying we're booing him because we want him to improve, are you for real?! You're punching the little confidence he has with every boo. I bet he can't wait to play away from home!
He's not played well at all, i agree with that and even Joey has said so but he doesn't pick the team, the tactics and who takes set pieces, yet some probably think he does!
Put yourself in his position, how would you feel knowing you're not playing well and most things you try (for the good of the team) aren't coming off and you're getting hammered by the crowd. What would you do?
For example, he's played in down the wing, his last attempt went horribly wrong and ended up in the crowd, do you think he'll play it in first time to the unmarked Cisse or put his foot on it and role it back to Young to swing it in to the now marked Cisse and chance gone?
If you don't like him, don't do anything, just keep your mouth shut, not hard is it and it'll be more beneficial for the squad than booing him, trust me!
Also saying the turnaround on Wednesday only happened because Joey wasn't on the pitch, you need to go and see a doctor! I suppose Kuyts goal was Joey's fault too even though he wasn't on the pitch?!
He's a scapegoat, we have to have one at QPR don't we!
Trust Mark Hughes to do the right thing and back Barton if you want him to improve not boo!Last edited by Mattyqpr; 23-03-2012, 01:18 PM.

I sit in the West Paddock, right in front of Barton all first half, and it was obvious this was going on. He became more and more hesitant with every misplaced pass and the resulting heckles. He can hear us you know, this isn't Old Trafford!
We end up playing long ball a lot of the time because of this same process. A defender who looks to pick a pass (Taiwo, say) runs the risk of getting a #######ing from the crowd when it doesn't come off. But no one boos Hill when he plays the percentage hoof into the channels towards a double-marked Zamora. So the more the crowd get on players backs, the more they tend to play balls that don't leave them open to flak.

MattyQPR- I can see your points, certainly agree that for some reason we always have to have a boo boy, previously Legs, earlier in the season Bothroyd and now Barton.
For me Barton has done nothing to ender himself to the fans. No all action performances like we expected, just timid, woeful displays that were very, very low on quality. Add the performances to the fact that he walks round the pitch looking like he owns the place, the downright embarrassing comments he made about NW after his departure, the numerous stupid tweets and the countless times he has ripped into Taarabt, Mackie and others on the pitch and the fact he is by far our highest paid player, you can understand why paying fans will get angry.
I don't agree with booing a QPR player, as you point out it does no good at all. But I have to say that for me, JB has bought a great deal of it on himself and had he arrived and been a lot more humble, professional and shown appreciation for the work his team mates/manager did last season and actually put in performances that earned him the armband, instead of being given it, then he wouldn't be getting the flack he is.
I won't boo him, I won't condone those that do boo him, but I can certainly understand their frustrations and reasons for doing it.
He needs to stop acting like Billy Big b****cks, get his head down and graft out some performances. He'll soon find the boos stop.

Barton deserevd to be taken down a peg or two by us fans on Wednesday, he needed to know he is not bigger than the club and we are not happy with what he has brought to the table since signing.
He is a strong personality and he will come back with a point to prove and will get a good reception against Sunderland.
How else are us we suppose to let a player know that we not impressed with know how we feel about them...tweet them???

If corners were included figure would be much higher than 53 as Im sure he has hit the first man at least 80 times this season! You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.
