Unfortunately I couldn't make it so watched a live feed of it, felt embarrassed when I heard the booing though and although I am not his biggest fan and was happy to see him replaced I would never have booed him.

Totally Agree we should not be booing any of our players? I felt ashamed of all those people. It seem if he scored a hatrick people would have it in for him, Mackie Buzz all came on and their 1st 3 touches gave the ball away didnt hear people getting on their backs ? some people can do no wrong? and some can do no right? I think Barton would be the first to say he had a Shite game but who hasn't? at some time or other. At least Hughes had realised and made a change!

barton was awful which he has admitted himself
at one point i counted 11 passes in a row which went to liverpool instead of his team-mates
i wouldnt veen mind if he was crap but tried hard, but he looked like he didnt care

on the other hand i have never rated mackie but he is why we won. from the 1st minute he ws on and chasing the keepers kick to the end, he single-handedly lifted he team.
fair play mackie you might not have the most talent but you try harder than anyone and thats all we can ask

Don't see what the problem is . He's hardly a marttr, he was disrespectful to NW both during and post his reign. First to #### anyone off on Twitter. Not forgetting all the good he did before he joined us, including his failed one man attempt to destablise the toon and beating people up.

Fans are on his back not because of who he is but simply becuase he's been found wanting and is a sh+te footballer, only a fool would say he has improved us this season

As to MH would he had subbed him if the Crowd hadn't gone hostile towards him. Sometimes managers do listen to the crowd. At worst even if the fans hadn't persuaded him to change, the reaction made it easier for sparky to take the captain off.

people dont seem to realise.. it was at first an ironic cheer he was going off.. then followed by boo's.. and not just a selective few.. by a large percentage.

if he kept off the **** on twitter like: "nobody's died" after we lose.. or slating the man who brought premiership football to us for 15 years.. then i think people wouldn't have booed if he came off.
