  • Who Remembers When Liverpool Beat Wolves 75-76 season

Where were you? I used to live in East London so it was a transitor radio for me. I hear many fans were at the Springbok and a couple even went to Wolves.

I was in the seven feathers youth club, listening on the radio.
We were all jumping about thinking we'd won the league, then realised
    Liverpool had equalised,very unhappy!!
I came here to chew gum and kick ass,and I'm all outta gum!

I was 13, and listened on the radio, still remember all the p*** taking from all the home counties scousers the next day.

Hated Wolves ever since, but TBF we lost the title in the land of the six fingered tractor drivers.

Was 14 and very upset, always hated Wolves since that day. Thieving scousers bribed them or certainly knicked the points

Think they changed the rules soon after so that all last day games finish at the same time (I might be wrong)
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

At home listening to the radio aged 14.

No way something like that could ever happen again as the games would have had to be played at the same time. Was a long time after our last game IIRC

Still got the newspaper clippings from the sundays after our win over Leeds the day before.
Remember one headline was "QPR THROW EM TO THE WOLVES" or something like that.
Have always wondered what if with that season, where would we have gone if we had become League champs that year.
It's why last year for me was special, it was that trophy we missed out on.........a wrong was righted.

if we had won th eleague title for me that would be an achievement never ever to be matched by any club...........a small club like ours being champions of england........we struggled to even get 25000 crowds back then...talk of 40000 seater stadiums an absolute joke imho!
                            you know nothing john snow!!!!

Listened on the radio in the brook house bad memories but evn worse of the Norwich game that's when we lost it three games to go and it was in our hands. Also seem to remember Liverpool getting an unlikely win at Man City just after we lost at Norwich.
