Well if they call off this game why not call off all their remaining games
at some point they have got to get back on the pitch be it FA or PL ,

If they were to call off all their games, then the points they got from the games already played would be taken off (either from them or the teams who got points against them). This would be a nightmare to work out and would change the whole aspect of the premiership.

Again looking at this purely from a football point of view, when it comes down to it I can't see Bolton pulling out of a quarter final FA Cup replay BUT as with Birmingham last year we might see that an extended cup run for a struggling team can actually work in favour of their relegation rivals.

Tottenham's players are playing on wed, and they were affected too

Where do you even start with a post like this?

Call off all of their other games? Ridiculous.

They are considering not playing the game again as many of the players (Tottenham's included) and younger squad members, probably some travelling fans and staff, are clearly affected by almost seeing someone die on the pitch in front of them.

Most of them probably still affected and want to get the memory of it out of their heads as soon as possible, which is partly why they have called off tomorrows match and are contemplating pulling out of Saturdays. Going back and playing the game will only bring the memories back.

To be questioning their motives if they do not want to replay the game is frankly embarrassing IMO.

Just a quick message for Fabrice, i along with everyone else was shocked at the events of Saturday evening. And as all the football family pulls together for him my thoughts are with him and his family. I was at the Arsenal academy(hale end) when Fabrice was coming through the age groups, and although i was never involved with his year group i know what a great young man he is, a very polite and well spoken young man with true family values. A young man with great intelligence to, would have gone to law school if football was not to be for Fabrice, and would have made a success of that im sure. I know his family still reside in Walthamstow he bought his mum the house he grew up in, so all thoughts are with you, and your family, and im praying for a full recovery.

Correct....would they forfeit the match if it was in the league if Pts were at stake?.

You're right, they were affected, and they considered rearranging the game against Stoke too.

It wasn't their team mate lying on the floor unconscious though.

                    The paranoia is unbelievable.

Nothing to do with going back to White Hart Lane, with the same teams fans etc, and all the emotional difficulty that would cause for all concerned, especially if the worst happened.

Much more likely it would be a cynical ploy to help their struggle against relegation.......

It must be terrifying in these conspiracy theorists heads. The whole world is just constantly, secretly working out ways to screw THEM over.

Football isn't important right now. Everyone deals with grief in their own separate ways and it's sad cynicism such as that displayed in patches throughout this thread are around when a young man is in hospital fighting for his life.

I bet football is the last thing on the minds of players, fans and staff at Bolton Wanderers right now.

Additionally, you only need to look at the statements from the likes of Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Rafael van der Vaart to see how deeply it's affected some Tottenham players too.

Thoughts are with Muamba and his family - really hope he pulls through.

Ok what if they were playing Spurs away in the league this saturday would they forfeit that match?

Stop a being drama queen..... plenty off good men have dropped dead at the Work Face in my game and had to be carried out the hole by their lifelong mates because the emergency services were incapable of doing so only to return to work the next day....unfortunately life for us in the real world goes on, if he wasn't a footballer would there be this commotion!
