He must have seriously thick skin. He's inviting fans to the training ground to chat to the players and sort out the "them and us" mentality going on at the club right now. Fair play to him for engaging the fans, it's what we've wanted isn't it?

Just to set the record straight, he actually responded directly to me on Twitter last October, and said much the same thing, ie: they desperately need the fans to be there for them, that we are the 12th man.
And that was BEFORE things got bad.
So not the first time he's said something like this.
