Pundits/reporters etc saying that this team should be mid table but they are failing. What people keep forgetting is that we have only had this team since the end of january, and started off the season with a championship side. I have accepted that we will go down this year and it wont be a bad thing. If players want to jump ship then thats fine, we have them tied up to 3/4 year contracts so we would recieve a good sum in return, as for Cisse he already said after the villa game that he wants no more debut goals and wants to settle down, then after the Bolton game says "i have already fallen in love with the club"...Cisse would tear the championship a new one! Faurlin will stay as not only does he love the club, will teams risk taking him straight after a serious injury. If Taarabt has any sense he will give it another go in the championship and remind himself that it would only be for one season. We also have ambitious owners who are not afraid to get their cheque books out who would make sure the club will go back up.
If we do go down, if warnock fails to get leeds up this year the top two will be as follows:
1. QPR
2. Leeds
I would not mind another season in the championship as we can have another massive party at the end of the season. Who knows...maybe going down could be the best thing for us (getting rid of Barton would be the biggest result).
For years we worried about the clubs future and if we would stay in the 2nd tier, now were worried about staying in the Premier League, knowing that we will be her in two years time anyway.
We are not Norwich, they will go down next season, there is only so far that grit and belief will get you. As for Swanea they will become an established Premier League side (eg Stoke) but so will we. I beleive that we will be playing in Europe in the not too distant future.
Onwards and upwards.
