I really don't know what to think.
W12 you say Warnock was happy to sell Taarabt, wasn't it AT just wanted out? That's what was coming out of his advisors mouths and quotes accredited to him.He was totally unfit when the season started too.
I agree NW brought about his own down fall but it was because of treachery on JB's part
the way i see it Warnock made JB captain cause he needed a leader of men, not Adel who is only intersted in how Adel does.
I don't blame this seasons failings on Warnock, but if you do then Mark Hughes had better get his plate out too, cause he has had a hell of lot more money to spend and still can't put out a winning team
Yes but NW was not standing in the way from what I heard!

We have I believe 4/5 French Africans in the dressing room, I'm not saying that this is the cause of the problem but Adel being one of them could cause a divide...especially when he is up against an abrasive character like Barton.....this is MH's problem if it were one! (I suspect the liberal **** suckers on here will try to intervene at this point, to which they can kindly go **** themsleves).

The liberal lefties will tell you can't say that but life in the real world teaches us different.

I personally think the last individual you'd want as captain of a football squad which has multiple nationalities etc would be Barton but hey Warnock and Hughes know better!

Barton is unusually open-minded for a footballer. He seems to have interests beyond Nandos, Fifa12 and spitroasting Essex birds.

He might not be a great captain for various reasons, but I can't see an inability to get on with foreigners being one of them.

Well if we listen too much to the PC-ers we won't be able to talk about anything.
I agree with you that he does come across as a very abrasive character, just look at his farewell message to NW.

Your point is valid. I think that problems usually arise when people are just blatantly racist. You have mentioned french africans, not the colour of their skin. And only a fool would see that as a direct attack on all french africans.

Unless of course, I have misunderstood.

Also agree with what Geng said.

W12 was saying that the french/africans would be turning against JB for having a bust up with Taarabt. That's the way i understood his post, or am i wrong?

Got a Scouse mate from same part of Liverpool as him doesn't speak of him highly.....I'd say his open mindedness is a recent thing but that like anything is based on an assumption made from chatting with my mate

I'm sure he tries his best to get on with everyone

                  Just seen this today

QPRDave I didn't say that I was highlighting a potential situation which has happened at other clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and even the Dutch National side.....people don't like taboos but are you telling me a story like this hasn't cropped up in private conversation between players http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Anthony_Walker

Whilst its wrong to judge someone on others actions.....its not like we never remind Terry about his hideous family even before the Ferdinand stuff etc its human nature.

Sorry W12 yes mean't to put it as a potential prob.

                    • I think the point I'm trying to highlight is what starts as a potential disagreement or ill feeling between two players could quite easily become disruptive and create a negative divide within the squad

Maybe my assumptions are completely ridiculous but I'm trying to look at the bigger picture and trying to understand if there are things off the pitch which could potentially contribute towards our lack of success on the pitch

                      • When things are going bad on the pitch, there are sometimes cliques off it, even if it's as simple as 1 player thinking he should be getting a chance and a couple of his mates agreeing.
