Maybe, but he was very good in his first games, but has somehow lost it. It happened when he was left wing. i wouldn't release him after the season.

wasn't he responsible for passing the ball for our first goal on Saturday?

No, it was Barton's useless corner again.

Sorry I should have said the second goal. I'm not talking about the ghost goal, I'm talking about Cisse's

You got to ask yourself does he want to be here ??
He seems to have lost a yard in pace, his first touch is poor now (never was) , and his passing isn't all that prem league either.

I wouldn't say so. He's depressed because we keep losing and he plays badly.

Drop him and our midfield is weak. We'd get proper bullied then. Diakate is still oo much of a liability to rely on as he still makes rash challenges. Good player, but he's a bit simple. The amount of ground Barton covers to break things up seems to always go unoticed. Any mistake he makes is always quick to be highlighted.
Have to agree with that word for word.

Agree but don't think he should be captain. Think he might even play better if he was not captain.

To answer the opening question - no MH will not drop JB. He is the captain, whether we like it or not, and dropping the club captain is a massive decision he will not be prepared to make.

Hughes should play Barton right midfield and give the armband to Clint Hill instead.

After all Hughes is the BOSS.
