    The Faurlin injury.
    Warnock´s clueless tactics.
    Kenny´s injury.
    Cisse and his red card.
Taiwo introduced too early on the left back

And Barton scandalous use of Twitter as well. He seems to concentrate more on the team now, but too late to save his reputation amongs the fans obviously.

I don't agree with most regarding the Chelsea game - I thought we were shocking and lucky. Man City definately perormance of season for me, but we lost.

I think some key areas it went wrong:

      1. Making Joey Captain
      2. Not using Tarbs enough
      3. Losing Faurlin - this is the biggest blow and leaves us few options
      4. Not getting cover for Faurlin
      5. Decline in performance of defence and I don't understand why
      6. No supply for the strikers due to lack of creativity

What I noticed on Sat was that no one wanted the ball and they didn't make themselves available in the middle, so whoever had possession had very little in terms of options. This led to too much hoofing.

good post mate and i agree with all that 100%
Saturday especially our Midfield was shown up for what it is....shite. Two of the best strikers we have had for years up top but with no service and i also dont know whats going on with our defence. Good defenders on paper but lacking organisation it seems.

The thing is we played badly but still should have won (not just for the disallowed goal but for Pratley not being sent off, the penalty we should have got at the end etc.)

              Why was Taiwo brought inn?

He did create an awful lot of mess in the defence during his first matches. We should even have stuck with Hill or Gabbidon at the time.
MY opinion. And I do also pity Taiwo. Thrown into deep water.

Having no real pace through the spine of the side, especially in midfield until Diakite arrival..

Faurlin was the man who wanted the ball and was always available. Think that losing Faurlin equals no supply for the strikers. Yet we have had strikers only in form of Cisse and Zamora. In our last game it was horrible to see how Cisse was ready for 1vs1 with their goalkeeper, but did not get passes.

Regarding Taarabt, he was our worst player in the beginning of the season, so don't agree fully with that. He came good only after the long break.

In paper we should have a very good defense (Young, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Hill, Traore). The amount of mistakes we made is incredible. Maybe it's more about Kenny, who does not allow any mistakes from our defense line.

I'm afraid Kenny is the problem because they don't have confidence in him. There was a discussion in January about another goal keeper (everybody was up in arms at the time) but it didn't happen. One of the reasons we did well last season was because Kenny played well in the Championship and it had been a long time since we had had a good goalkeeper (we used to be renowned for them). He seemed ok in the first few games this season but after his injury (which was some time ago now) he just doesn't seem the same.

it's a strange one - goalkeeper was one area I would have thought the step up a league made the least difference....must have been wrong. Unless it's just the added pressure and dropping confidence impacts decision making?

Think that this is true. If a goalie thinks too much, he does not have time to make saves. He is not the only one with lost confidence. SWP main example.
