  • Where did it all go wrong?

Mid October we completely out though out manouvered and beat Chelsea. I know many were dissapointed with our second half display but make no mistake 11 vs 11 they never had a sniff then going to 9 men hindered us more then anything.

Late November we gave a fantastic performance in 3-2 defeat against Manchester City who up until that point had been smashing everyone. The following week we came from behind to beat Stoke away 3-2 and we seemed to be looking like a comfortable mid table team. We then conceded a late winner to Norwich with an injury hit team the week after and it seems we have never recovered from that, as from, that point onwards we have struggled to pick up points.

So what happened where did it all go wrong and why?

    interested to know opinions.

There's so many events you can point to, that's why we're in this predicament, home to Norwich was a big one though, losing the match after leading and then a red card!

If we stay up now no one can say we dont deserve it with our run in. I actually think we can beat Liverpool at Loftus Road and Arsenal never were great on our narrow pitch back in the day. Fa Cup tie of 2001 not included LOL.

losing faurlin was a massive blow as he was the only player who looked liked he belonged in the premiership week in week out..add the fact the laurel and hardy defensive partnership of gabbidon and hall and it was always going to be difficult to stay up..

I don't think it has gone all wrong. We were at the start of the season a little club fighting for survival and we are still the same today. We over achieved at Everton, Stoke and were very lucky at home to Chels*ite, so all in all we are where most level headed fans expected us to be.

With our strike force we will get enough points/goals to stay up, and that is it. 3 or 4 goals each from Cisse and Zamora and that will be the difference. Compared to the other four clubs in our mini league our strike force is streets ahead.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

expected 17th at start of the season but when we made January signings i must admit i expected a little better. Difficult run in but not too late if the players decide to make a fight of it.

yes i agree too. people keep talking about 'must win' games but really liverpool at home for us has to be a must-win for me to keep my faith that we will stay up. on paper our run in is awful but this is rangers after all so expect the unexpected!

Have been saying since we got promoted that 1st season back I would be happy with 17th and I honestly believe that is where we will finish, Then it is onwards and upwards next season with MH's own squad

QPR of old would always raise their game for the bigger clubs. Let's hope the class of 2012 can do similar.

Faurlins injury - touche....and silly red cards. Those moments have affected the rest of the season in a major way.

I know we should not make excuses, but bad decisions by officials (i.e Saturday) have not helped either.
