  • Any light after suicide watch...?

This is my first time on the site since the debacle as I've been out stocking up on paracetamol and razor blades.

I have tried to remain positive through recent results, many of which have been of our own doing through brain dead actions from highly paid players that should know better. The farce of the non goal yesterday was almost a sign as if to say forget it, you're jinxed and everything that can go wrong will!

It was a disgrace and the lino should be struck off if he couldn't see that while standing on the line. Not only would everyone else see the ball a yard over the line, but ffs, when it was saved it moved diagonally back towards the pitch and then hit the bar.... How could it do that if not over the line! F£%king retard. He said 2 people in his way which is clearly BS so they better not let him off as a result. Whatever they do won't change what happened and cost us dear.

Some people will say our goal was off so its evened out.... Well no not at all. We were denied a lead in a 6 pointer match having just hit the bar minutes earlier. Had it stood their crowd would've heaped pressure on them and they may have buckled and never got back in the game. We will never know now.

I am also peed off with MH as well. Why was Derry playing and Barton shifted wide?! I'd Taiwo was fit enough for the bench he shouldve played lb, traore lm, swp rm, with barton and diakite cm. Why mess about with the midfield for a crucial match we needed to win and basically go defensive. It showed on the pitch with the front 2 isolated too often and the rest hitting mainly aimless balls to Zamora, who wasn't having a great game and didn't win many.

Add to that with Diakite in his 2nd game, after only 30mins of his first, he needs to gel with Barton who will play with him most weeks. Very strange decision imo.

Also the fact we've failed miserably in every 6 pointer bar Wigan is a disaster. Could it be the fact we've got a squad of players not used to being in a dogfight... Maybe they will get a couple of results against better teams where more football can be played.

Is there any light at the end of the tunnel.. At the minute it feels like if there was it'd be a bloody train! It looks more ominous now we've gifted points to rivals. Our only saving grace could be a possible all time low tally to survive. We have a hard run in on paper for sure, but others have tough games also and there are still winnable games among them, but will it be enough, possibly not!

Good post Del, feel pretty similar.

I really cant see us staying up. First time Ive faced upto it, up until now Ive clutched at straws and remained optimistic, but now I think we're goners.

    Hello Championship......
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I'll try to switch a light on
I predict that we will beat Liverpool and that this will be the catalyst for a rally that gets us out of jail on goal difference! You read it here first !
      I told you so!

I feel very down this morning, can't really see anything other than relegation.
There is a bit of a light at the end of the tunnel, if you can see past the train, which is that Ranger traditionally drop points to lower teams and raise their game for better teams, which is what we have to play.
Another bout of clutching at straws, but at least one which has some historical evidence to back it up.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

I have thought also that Liverpool may be a chance to get point, especially with Cisse fired up against his old team. They are Jekyll and Hyde though, can dominate top teams on occasions, then lose to poor teams. Hopefully the latter turn up and who knows.

I also think we'll get a point against Spurs, possible beat Sunderland which may all be seen as unlikely.

Beat Liverpool and guaranteed people will be returning here saying we can still do it. Personally I have a never-say-die attitude. I never give up the fight until its mathematically impossible, which is the job of any supporter I would have thought, or maybe I'm unique in that regard.

Often the problem is that fans' negativity transmits to the players, then the outcome becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy, which is where the psychological factor comes into play. Granted JB's last tweet doesn't help and whilst all the negativity and doom-mongering is understandable, Houdini acts of great escape have often happened before and its up to the fans to stick by the team through thick and thin.

Stanley -you are not unique. I am sure there are lots of us out there -but people seem to enjoy looking on the Dark Side- perhaps they'd like Darth Vader to buy out the club? If it comes to the worst -I'm sure we'd have a lot of fun riding the Championship Roller coaster (and it would be cheaper)- but we're not there yet.

Not at all mate, you're far from alone, I'm the exact same, i pretty much sat at home last night with all the fixtures and rationally tried to see how we can stay up, it is possible, i think the fact that we have a few big teams to play does muddy the waters a little in other peoples eyes, but you forget that we have most of them at home... bar the Manc's... it's easier to raise your game for a must win against Liverpool, i reckon the other teams are going to stall.... It's bloody hard, but it's not impossible, not yet anyway.

yesterday was disapointing to the point oif down right depressing. Not just the officials, but the game seemed to sum our season up. I don't even want to name them in this thread, but some of our team let us down as well as they have done all season.
