Paulo Sousa : Four Year Plan shows my job at QPR was impossible
Paulo Sousa : Four Year Plan shows my job at QPR was impossible
Paulo Sousa has broken his silence on the controversial QPR documentary, claiming it was 'impossible' for him to have been successful under Flavio Briatore.
Finally one of FB's former managerial victims breaks their silence over the megalomaniac's tenure. Hardly surprising though as the film is tantamount to defamation of character.
He did win the Europeon Cup twice singlehandedly though dont you know
Seriously though I see history is being rewritten yet again elsewhere and it is again being implied that this site led a campaign to get Sousa sacked when in reality I think at the time 99% of posters on here despite the awful football were prepared to give him more time, well at least I was and still feel he was extremely harshly treated though in hindsight it was best he left at that time

Well up to your usual standards mate....
A message to the other Premier League clubs when they visit Loftus Road.....
"NUESTRA GLORIA, VUESTRO INFIERNO"
(If you don't understand it, then learn Spanish. It is the language of world football.....)
Come on then we know you have to defend your site at all costs but do you believe that there was a campaign by posters of this site or are you just running with your gang for the sake of it?
As far as I recall hardly anyone on here including myself wanted Sousa sacked at that time and yet your pals without any correction from yourself of course still rake this up when the QPR news is quiet
Let me state yet again that I and most other fans did not want Sousa sacked at that time though in hindsight it was most likely the best timing
There was a campaign by this site headed by free seat and a few of his followers joined in ... Not saying all on this site wanted him gone ... In fact the vast majority didn't from this site ... But the leader at the time clearly had instructions and an agenda

He may well of done though I doubt it but as you and both agree it did not attract many followers to get rid of Sousa if any did it?
It amazes me that some who slate Pete so much still believe he had it within his power to influence the sacking of a Championship Football Manager

I dont think anyone truly believes that Isleworth, however Pete made several shameful attempts during that period to influence fans on this website and others that Sousa had to be sacked. thankfully most fans could see his campaign for what it was at the time.
we can hardly say his football didnt work. although during sousas reign i didnt get down to watch rangers that much and i didnt actually see us score a goal that season until te 3-2 against sheff wed. back to make original point he had the exact same philospohy at swansea and it got them to the play offs. although it still a double edged sword as it didnt work with leicester either
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

Can you explain to me how "making a shameful attempt to influence fans" on a forum is different from simply posting one's opinion, no matter how unpopular it may be? Or is the former expression just a creative way of describing the latter act?
He was a world class footballer, who felt he could influence the QPR players to play the same way. Many players felt he was arrogant (though admittedly some did like him eg Connolly and Hogan).
The Four Year Plan clearly shows interference from the board, but anyone could see this came after a serious of bad performances and poor results. He was in total control of team affairs and the board only became critical in February 2009, tried to influence him when we were losing games and falling off Play Off Contention
The board meeting was called for a reason and everyone was present including Amit Bhatia and Flavio Briatore. This was prior to any breaking story and clearly show ALL the board were unhappy. The fact Sousa gave confidential information to a supporter only brought forward the obvious decision to sack him.
It was easy at the time to fingerpoint and blame this web-site, but all sites carried the story and got nervy only when it became apparant they might be involved too, by allowing the story to be discussed. It was also easier to make someone the scapegoat for his dismissal.
Reality is he got 4 points out of 27 at a critical point of the season and that was not good enough whoever managed the club. Doing high fives to players when you get 0-0 draws is something I did not enjoy watching or seeing players like Taarabt on the bench or Blackstock not even being selected.
I loved the fact supporters felt I had such a big influence, when in reaility I did not like his style of football and was a supporter airing my views just like anyone else.
Would add he is the only manager I could not stand along with Paul Hart, because of the particular brand of football on offer. If anyone enjoyed it, you are lying to yourself.
