  • Why rangers???

what were your reasons for going down the Rsss?
was it family, friends or just a decision you made yourself??
mine was me ol' man-used to take me,the brother and sister down when we were kids(all at different era's). that influenced my kids and niece's and nephews to follow our great team.
    PRIDE OF LONDON.

Old man grew up living behind Scrubs and went all the time, therefore made sure I was a Ranger as soon as I entered the world
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Loved the name, the shirts and Stan Bowles (I was 11)

39 years of ups and downs but its been fun
I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

i used to date a girl who had a mate who was a footballer. she introduced me to him at a party once and we got chatting. he asked me what football team i followed and i said i didn't really follow football. he offered to get me tickets for the next game his team were playing. the fixture was qpr v chelsea and the footballer was trevor sinclair. it wasn't long after he'd moved from blackpool i think. anyway me and the girl went to the game, which was postponed! so we went to the re-arranged fixture, he came over, said hello and we had a good chat, and he signed my programme, and despite him moving on, i stayed with rangers ever since. i always remember how sweet that overhead goal he scored against barnsley was and how glad i was at the ground for that game. you r's!
                come on you r's!

As a kid I just fell in love with the name and the very nice hooped kit which was alot different from all the other teams in 1st Division at the time (beginning of the 80'ies). Also the fast direct short passing style of play really caught my interrest. The rest is history - been an overseas fan for almost 30 years.

Born Hammersmith, moved to Greenwich South London when I was around 5. Been trekking back over to West London since I was about 14. My dads fault, and he stopped going years ago. Even worse lived 5 mins from Charltons ground for years...

Funnily enough, supported a certain North London club for years and had a "Road to Damascus Moment" on November 7th, 1998, when I couldn't get a ticket for the Bolton home game because I'd spent the week's allowance on booze and I swore I wouldn't miss a home game after that.
My mum bought me a season ticket (first game as a season ticket holder was for Sunderland in the 2-2 draw when that ******* Niall Quinn scored in the last second), and since then, I've been going home and away.
It's been quite the love affair.
