I'd feel a massive sense of relief when we survive, nothing embarrassing about getting into the top flight and staying there, I'm pretty sure there were no talks of embarrassment around Wigan last season, maybe around West Ham though....

Sounds like in a way its better to be involved in a mini league and have something to fight for rather then be in mid table or just below and be bored saying who cares win lose or draw......or not !!!

Um... i think alot of people have mis- read the question of this thread which is "will we have the same euphoria as when we won the champs"
Surely winning a trophy is a helluva lot better than survival?
I'm not saying i expected a top 4 finish, but will the other 2 promoted with us have the
same feeling as we had last year, but for just surviving?
          Of course it's an achievement.

I expected to be proud off my team this season instead they are a ****ing embarrassment.

I expected that if we spent 3 times what Norwich and Swansea spent we'd at least be able to match them on the field off play

Our safety should have been secure by now, what we achieve last season should not be compared to something we should be achieving at the very least this season.

How anyone can talk about popping champagne after finishing above the shower of shite at the bottom of the PL is beyond me.

Thats true what u say...But if it went to the wire then it would be almost the same as winning what ever but know what your getting at.

Your best thread in months tbh,I think staying up celebrations would better winning the championship last season, especially because if we do stay up we WON'T be in this position again next season

Off course I would be happy but at the end of the day to compare the euphoria to winning a league title in what is one of the hardest leagues in the world to get out of to surviving in the Premier league by the skin of your teeth over the likes of Wolves, Bolton Blackburn and Wigan is not the same.

If we survive I'm pretty certain I would feel a sense of enormous relief then followed by a sense of enormous anger once I sit down over a pint and start analysing our performance this season.

Yes, and I think most of us will have that anger due to the other 2 promoted teams doing better then us considering our layout for our players, but we all know that it never works out that way.

Well why shouldn't it, why do we always have to accept that its always going to be like that supporting QPR, its just not acceptable.

We have be completely let down as supporters this season and the club should know that....we may completely turn it around and go on an amazing run from now until end the season but this squad IMO lacks any sort of bottle so that's very unlikely.

I'd be delighted if QPR manage to stay up this season, but this season has been a huge disappointment.

At the start of the season, I dreaded a disastrous season like Derby suffered, but then 2 weeks inmto the season T&C sold up and things looked promising.

Unfortunately the new signings did not live up to their earlier performances and the lack of a goalscorer cost QPR dearly in November, December and January. Now we are playing catch up and hopefully the newest signings can manage to stay on the pitch long enough to win games.

If it went down to the last day at the Ethiad it would be like a play off final, if we were to survive on hearing the other results, yes it would be special, but nothing to keep celebrating like winning a trophy or promotion as it is a different kind of achievement being that we should never have been in that position in the first place therefore it should be expected.
I think some people will see it differently but that is my take on it.

Given that I felt no euphoria at the end of last season, just high anxiety the week after Watford and then a huge sigh of relief when the FA verdict came through, I can't help feeling that I might actually feel MORE if we stay up by the skin of our pants, especially if we pull off a shock result at Man City to do it.
Last season's promotion ended up feeling like a right non-event unfortunately, certainly the least celebratory of the 4 I've experienced as an R's fan.
