im sure that Amit made sure he looked good otherwise it would never have been made in the first place and then sold in the club shop

      • Really enjoyed the film,Flavio certainly came across as a joke( despite being right with his Gavin Mahon call),and poor old Paul Hart only got 1 minute of time on the show, but I suppose 1 minute per every month you last as QPR manager is fair!

So where was Gigi De Canio?

Poor bloke didn't even get a 1 second.

          • I just think we got promoted despite of Flavio not because of him. So a brilliant achievement by Neil and the players all things considered.

            • Flavio wasn't 'right' with the Gavin Mahon call, the fact he scored was a total fluke and not some genius ploy of Flab's to bring on a defensive midfielder to grab the winner. Its a shame the film makes it look like he knew what he was on about there.

              • Who was that old boy outside who kept saying "we love you Flav"...thought that was a larff while Flav was ranting that hes gonna sale the club !

                • "and love gianni or hate him his love for qpr was real you saw that at the end of the film when he cried hysterically at his dream been realised"

I would argue that the dream being realised was a monetary one, and i would probably be emotional if i had just won 1million plus ,thought it was being taken away and then just been told it wasnt

I am sure over the years some emotional attachment to the club developed but GP came to QPR for the main chance, set about trying to acheive that RUTHLESSLY, almost blew it, had a stroke of good fortune/genius and finally acheived his objective. amiable lovable teddy bear of a buffon he is not.
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

                  • This is not to defend Flavio but I do wonder how differently many of us fans would behave if we were in charge and pouring our own money down the drain. Many of the criticisms he was coming out with were the exact same ones I was reading on here and elsewhere. Hard to disagree when he said "we've hired all the idiots"! - considering none of Dowie, Magilton, Sousa and Hart were ever going to get us promoted maybe we should be thankful he had an itchy trigger finger...

That said he was at his very worst towards the end effing and blinding about Warnock when we were stuttering over the finish line. Bit of perspective mate, bloody hell.

Loved the bit with him and Paladini discussing the Faurlin case. Saw right through Gianni's BS immediately...

I was wondering the same thing. Not even one mention of him.

...or not so thankful at his ineptitude in hiring the wrong people to begin with?

its hard to pass judement on Dowie,Sousa and Magilton seeing as they werent around that long..so how he can call them idiots is beyond me...also,ahrd for them to do their job when the owner is interfering every 5 mins..plus,dont forget,he was slagging Warnock off in the same way towards the end...i'm sure he would have given the same treatment to Fergie,Harry Rednapp or Wenger if we had them.
As for your quote that any of us fans would have behaved the same way, thats probably why none of us should be running a football club.Flavio should have known better, with his background in business, and F1,he should have been in a position to know how to behave

i think when you watch it the first time you cant help but thinking briatore is very funny ,his answer to everything is im gonna sack the coach
watching it the second time you cant help but feel sorry for gianni crying his eyes out
watching it the third time you cant help but be impressed with the elegance of amitt
but after watching it four times i think

POOR POOR POOR NEIL WARNOCK.HE GAVE US THE BEST ASTART IN 63 YEARS,HE DIDNT REALLY DESERVE THE SACKHE WAS A FANTASTIC GEEZER ALL THROUGH THE FILM
and my favourite quote from him was when a,it asked him for a ball park figure to guarantee promotion and warnock said four million

BUT YOU KNOW ME I CAN PROBABLEY GET BY WITH 500 000 POUNDS

                              • having watched it again last night I think none of

                                Sousa
                                Magilton
                                Harford
                                and possible Dowie

had a strong enough personality to survive that enviroment. The body language of them all told a story. Harford can hardly look at the camera in his press conference, Sousa appeared weak in his dealings with both Briartore and Paladini as well as his team introduction while Magilton appeared to be a man who did not believe in himself from the start.

You could probably throw Ainsworth and Hart into the mix as well though we didnt see enough of them to be sure.

Probably why Briartore hired these guys as he knew he could easily control them unlike Warnock
