I thought him and clint hill had a good game, despite only getting a point today showed some encouraging signs. Team looked like it had more cohesion, and with Cisse back we will look more threatening in the final 3rd.
I was surrounded by ########s chanting "Barton is a ******" and waiting for him after the game to come up and clap the fans only so they could give him the ****** sign.

Great work rate from Hill and Barton

Quite sad really, he covered everywhere and his work rate was outstanding, both him AND Clint Hill were awesome for the cause....this generated others to run till they dropped too, shame about losses of concentration from Adel, this indirectly cost us as we could and should have got all 3 points. Never seen Cahill so go damm awful, but to Rangers credit we should have steam rollered them after he went off.

      Roll on Bolton

No matter what he does you'll still get the the divs slating him. We do seem to have more than our fair share of clueless fans.

Just to clear this up about Barton's pass completion...

            Total Passes: 1235
Season Pass Completion: 73.4% (62.2% in opposition half)

Although his Pass Completion isn't particularly high (Faurlin 81% from 1147 passes, Derry 79% from 612 passes, Buz 84% from 247 passes), he has out-passed every player in our team (albeit Faurlin has been injured for the past 2 months). I really do think he makes us tick in Midfield, allowing his more creative partner freedom to create chances.

With regard to his crossing ability, I think we have got to do something about that. He has only had 17 successful crosses (a cross that has found a QPR player) this season. He has had 73 unsuccessful crosses (18.9% success rate). Those are the sort of stats you'd expect to see for a winger in a 1-on-1 situation, not someone who is taking the majority of our wide set pieces.

A captain´s performance, no doubt about that.

Be interesting to know the number of assists he has had this season.

Also the number of passes he has made (to show my generous side i'll include free kicks and corners) that have led to goal scoring opportunities.

Considering he takes most of our corners and free kicks around the box it should be high. An example would be a free kick taken that has led to a one of our players directing the ball towards the goal.

Read recently Messi or Xavi had about 140 passes (not free
kicks or corners) that directly led to a goal scoring opportunity. from memory it wasn't even for the whole season.

If no statistics available, please feel free to mention examples from our season
                  so far.

I thought Joey had a good game yesterday.
Only one thing though, he shouldn't be taking nearly as many free-kicks and corners, most are awful, few are adequate, too few accurate enough to justify his dead ball role.

Barton (played 24) has had 3 assists this season and created 47 goal scoring chances.

Under the same criteria, Xavi (played 21) has 6 assists and only created 44 goal scoring chances whilst Messi (played 24) has 9 assists and 52 goal scoring chances.

Those stats you quoted maybe for last season but what I'm seeing for this season according to Opta Stats they appear to be correct.

With his fighting spirit I should believe that he could play a part in front of goal on corners.
Rather than taking them, I mean.

he gave everything yesterday, so much so that he was running on empty for the last 10 mins or so I thought
