  • Just not good enough

Time is running out, we simply have to put our chances away another 2 Pts dropped today from one off our few remaining winnable games.

A step forward from the Fulham match though.

And bear in mind that Cisse has promised us a pay back. (positively meant)

Agree with W12_Ranger. Needed to win today because we have such a difficult run-in. Can't really see us beating any of the top five. Liverpool is winnable because they are rubbish this season (although still a vastly superior team to us).

Taarabt's and Buzz's double post hit must have meant something, IMO. Negatively meant.

            Sorry.

But Wigan dropped 3 pts from one of their remaining winable games, and Blackburn lost 2.

I know how you feel W12 i found that so frustrating the misses and again the poor final ball
                that seems to dog us.
But the performance overall i felt was good, and we controlled long periods, but just knew we wouldn't grab a winner that we desperately needed.

Can't see much hope in games against the Mancs and North Londoners. If Liverpool click they will rip us apart BUT... they don't click all the time so we may get a point. As for Chelsea, blimey, they're falling apart so that plus the "baggage" around that game means point(s) are not out of the question.
So, I see no reason why we can't get the points we need from WBA, Stoke, Bolton, Sunland and Swansea - none of those games are hopeless or beyond us. Basically, if we can't get points of that lot we really deserve to go down.

Yes we should have won, but a point is a point and it could make a difference. After all they were one of the form teams of recent weeks and had beaten city and Chelsea so were on a roll, so given that fact it was never a certainty we'd get anything.

Anyway, as usual we were our own worst enemy with Taraabt trying stupid things in our own half when an easy pass was on and gifted them posaession which led to their goal.

He needs a rollicking and needs to learn. Save the tricks for the final 3rd!

i disagree in 'just not good enough' if you put today's performance into the context of how the team has performed in the past 4 league games.

today for me was a massive step forward in terms of performance - on and off the pitch. we looked more organised and hungrier. the fans got behind the team more. key players pulled their weight more. and for the swp haters on here, i thought he had a decent game, got stuck in and showed some appetite and fight.

we win next week and in the context of our past 4 performances prior to today i would consider a draw at home followed by a win away to be good going.

Sooner (rather than later) the chances we created like today will go our way

you can argue with sods law + a ref that was asleep for most of the match

No way was that 'not good enough', if you think today wasn't good enough then I really question what you think would be ? They gave their absolute all and with a little lady luck would have picked up 3 points. Play like that rest of the season and our luck will turn.

Without doubt that was 2 valuable points dropped today.

Everton were there for there for there for the taking 2nd half. Couldn't believe how poor they were.
