I think we will just about survive and Wigan, Wolves and Bolton will be relegated. Yes, we have a very hard run in but our rivals still have to play each other and will take points off each other. We will beat Everton on Saturday then get something at Bolton.

The defence is bad. We will always concede goals. Our midfield do not score any goals at all, our top striker is injured . The players need time to gel as a team and they have all been thrown together this season.
This whole season has been a total disaster and i can only see one outcome barring a miricle

There was no way at all I thought we'd go down 3 months ago, although I was certain we would until the takeover. Sadly, while I don't think we'll finish 20th as I originally did, really can't see us finishing higher than 18th. We're almost down sadly. But...I'm convinced we have an outstanding, very much better chance of coming straight back up than at any time since Gallen got injured at Portsmouth in 1995, which ruined things for us (more than Houston & Rioch did). We'll be straight back as champions if Fernandes/Bhatia are still around: 1st: 90% chance, Runners-up: 10%.

The fact is nobody knows what will be required at the end of the season, and you certainly don't know if losing these two games will have any bearing. Even if we did, it's perfectly feasible that the teams below us (you know, the ones in the relegation zone who have so far been even worse than us) will all lose their next 2 gtames also. If that happened we still wouldn;t be in the drop zone, so to say "We will go down" as a result is anything but fact.
I personally think we'll survive, and in the end will have some points to spare as Cisse will get us goals to get decent points.
Also, i actually think this year there could be a low tally to survive, given the fact theres a number of teams really struggling to pick up points. I don't think 37/38 will be needed, more like 33-35.

After a period of reflection and trying to put some distance between our very disappointing form over the last 3 months, I do feel that we are about to turn the corner and begin to play as we can and get some good results.
If we set ourselves ultimatums like 'if we don't get 6 pts from our next two games, relegation is inevitable' we really are setting ourselves up for an avalanche of recriminations which is pointless and head-wrecking.
I do feel that we will survive this season; no explanation, just a belief that things will come good sooner than we think..

With still a little under a third of the current season left to play for,its interesting to see that over 61% of this forums members already feel we will be relegated come May.Perhaps we could revisit this thread on a match to match basis to see how the rest of the season pans out.You never know, perhaps the Doubting Thomases amongst us,of which I confess to being one, might be in for a pleasant surprise.
